What happened when you complained to the store manager/CEO?
You have a PoFA compliant NTK so your best chance is a landowner cancellation. If the store decide losing customers is important to them and they reject your complaint, then send the appeal template in blue from the first post of the NEWBIES, unaltered, from the keeper. There is only one appeal template, unless this is a lease/hire car/company vehicle.
If that doesn't work then you will need to appeal to the scammers followed by an appeal to PoPLA.
Get pics of the site and signage asap.
Include proof of purchases on the day with your complaint. If you are a regular shopper then tell the manager/CEO and/or include a loyalty card number if you have one. The store should have information about the time of purchase if you paid by card, but hopefully you won't need to go into that much detail.Do the above, although as far as i know ASDA do not operate a loyalty card.Another thing that may be of use is if you have a smartphone - if you have google maps log inot your google account, go to maps and then time lineFrom the Plain Language Commission:

My wife has collected three PE PCNs this year for lingering too long in Asda. Alll were promptly cancelled by the manager.
PE signs are, imo, unfgit for purpose, read this,
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5972164/parking-eye-signs-oxford-road-readingNine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs, and in some cases, cancellation.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up later this year,
Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these companies, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2 -
Raise a complaint on the main website to Asda in Leeds , stating that you are unable to contact the store , include proof of purchase , no implying who was driving , the royal WE works
Separately complain to the store manager if you can do so
Do not underestimate the power of the complaint , plan A , it does work , especially with many shops and supermarkets
The appeal template plus proof of purchase usually works with parking eye2 -
If you pay by card, is there not a way Asda can verify in their system as to what time you were in the store?0

Update on this case.
I have managed to get through to Asda Customer service via phone and they took the details and advised that they will put in a request to Parking Eye to cancel the "Invoice".
They said they cannot guarantee it will get cancelled (not sure why since they own the land) and they gave me a case reference number.
They asked to check Parking Eye website to see what is the status of the fine. If it will get cancelled, it will appear on there.
A bit long winded to be honest, but I guess I could not have received a better outcome.3 -
That is why the Newbies thread recommends plan A , before and above anything else !!2

Nicely (almost) done! Do keep an eye on the PE website to check on the PCN's status (give it a few days to be updated), if no progress after (say) 7 days, get back on to Asda (you may need to go further up the food chain), and whatever happens, if no cancellation, do not miss getting in your initial appeal to PE.planegeek said:Update on this case.

But a bit like your 8-hour example, all he needed to do was buy a packet of Polo mints to prove he was in the store at that time - a mere snapshot. Nothing would really prove the length of time in the store. And, in case you were going to suggest it, no, they wouldn't chase through hours of CCTV for him - it's not a murder case! 😊Mr_Spoon said:Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
