Selling a victorian terrace house, should I try to sell it myself (e.g. purplebricks)?

Some houses are definitely nicer inside, but you can always redecorate, you can't get the extra room though, which is likely why it's priced more than similar 2 beds. That said I didn't price it I got two valuations and they both came in around the same, it was actually priced at 320k and I lowered it to 315k. The estate agent advised me against lowering it further, they seem confident it will sell at this price, enough to waste their own time conducting a lot of viewings.
It has only been on the market couple of weeks so the EAs could be right.

I think one problem may be your taste has gone too far and rather than can decorate its a will have to decorate,
Add in a few  maintenance issues and it is a project rather than a move in and make chanbes a bit at a time.

I am not seeing the extra space over the others and the bathroom attached to the garage may not be ideal, terrace benefit from houses each side you have a open wall and a garage with a flat roof next to it.

For those of us using Property Log (or who have been looking in Bedminster for the last few months), it's been on for a lot longer than other houses in the area. It's why I'm so surprised it's not sold at £315k, even with the issues noted.

    The competition is just better.
    who owns the garage?

I think you have hit the nail in the head there. The competition is just better and with less work to do for the same/similar price.

Why don’t you just tell the agent you will do the viewings yourself.  I would advise against Purplebricks as there is almost 0 post sales support to do all the work once you get an offer through to completion Where as a high street agent helps chase the sale to completion (we are with Purplebricks having previously used Dixon’s so now know what a difference it is)

While I'd be inclined to agree, even my property looks spiffing on the photos compared to the reality, I did hear from a few people who viewed both that while they ultimately declined both they preferred the layout of mine compared to others on the street that they saw. Anyhoo, will be pumping some money and effort into trying to tart it up even more, cheers.

That might be part of the problem. The photos making it look better than reality so that when potential buyers walk through the door they are disappointed and underwhelmed.

It seems like to fix the signs of repaired damp would be extremely expensive just for a slight cosmetic touch up but I guess I will get a quote, I suppose they will have to strip all the paint/plaster, repair, repaint, just to fix three spots 40cm x 40cm)?
No need! If the plaster's still sound, make sure it's dried out, use some 'stain stop' or similar to stop the tidemark from bleeding through and then paint the whole wall. I had to do this to a ceiling after a bad roof leak, once the cause had been definitively fixed.

Doesn't take much longer than just painting a wall.
