Do not use that email address for correspondence. It is for employers to send references directly and not via any third parties.
    Hi Kingstreet,

That was the plan. My wife has gone into work today to get this sorted as STILL no response from broker. She's going to get her manager to send the reference directly to that address. In addition to what you stated to include, I've told them to also add her mat leave details- commencement, return to work date and return to work hours. Fingers crossed!!

Yes, so far so good with Halifax. Submitted my full application on 20/08. Desktop valuation carried out the same day and I expect it would have been approved immediately if they didn't require a couple of changes to my employment reference letter. Sent the revised letter over to them this morning and got confirmation around lunchtime it had been approved. Not sure I'll really believe it until I've got the physical offer in front of me! Good luck!
How did Halifax contact your employer? We were told by broker Halifax reached out to my wife's employer on Wednesday and her employer is still.saying they haven't received anything. In week six now and to be frank I'm starting to lose patience!!!
Technically they didn’t. My original letter was provided to me by HR; I sent it to my broker who in turn supplied it to Halifax. Halifax then got in touch with the broker advising what changes were needed and supplying the email address to send it to. I then contacted my HR dept again, and they sent the revised letter to Halifax directly, copying me and my broker in. I think my broker then uploaded a copy to Halifax directly and followed up on the phone, which I imagine helped speed up the process.
Thanks for that. My broker have just told me Halifax have requested a reference from employer and then dropped off the face of the earth when I've asked what they want/where to send it.

Kingstreet on these boards kindly sent me a list of the standard info they requested and provided an email address of employmentreference@lloydsbanking.com, is this the address you sent yours to as we've decided to take matters into our own hands!
Yes, that's the one! As Kingstreet has pointed out, though, it was used by my employers, not me - I was just CC'd in.

Thanks. Wife got her boss to email to that address today. Fingers crossed for some actual progress now!

After a nightmare with a broker and nationwide (3 week wait to find out they'd submitted the wrong details! Misspelled my middle name and didn't include that I was using an equity scheme) I've gone direct with halifax and am having much better luck!

    DIP - 21/08
    Application started - 22/08
Called to provide details of the property and tell them who did the home report (im in scotland) - 24/08

Got contacted today (26/08) just to confirm that my income has been verified (only needed one payslip!) and they have the home report so are just waiting on the home report to be signed off.

Cant believe how quick its been after dealing with nationwide who have 4 week average wait between application and offer.

So we applied directly to Halifax on Sat 22nd August.
We didn't submit our documents until Monday 24th August as I needed to wait for something from my employer.
Documents validated and approved Tuesday 25th August.
    Valuation completed Thursday 27th August.
    Mortgage offer issued 1st September.

Very pleased with how speedily they've dealt with this for us. And very glad we decided not to wait for our existing lender (First Direct) who could even offer us an application appointment until end of September!
