Went to Lidl and spent a little more than I would have liked but was with Mr Compet and he seems to just chuck everything in the basket. And i swear he eats more avocados than I don't know what, maybe I should buy a plant!
Anyway £23 bringing our total to a pretty health 3/4 of the budget.
Hoping to exchange on the house on friday so he's told me I shouldn't be worrying about the October challenge as things will be a bit hectic. Which I agree with, but surely thats a reason to be MORE careful, now with a house to run? ARGGHHOfficially a homeowner 🥳🥳

Reading about other people building up stores, I think I might add a pack of loo rolls (we have one but I'd like a spare) - two if they are on offer. I need to go next week as we need cat litter and possibly cat food.
With my milk and eggs being delivered I am managing to shop less frequently and although they are bigger shops, there is only so much that will fit in a small basket on wheels - so far so good with £109 out of £200 spent so farSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Having added £55 for today's market & up-town shop, I'm racking my brains for what else I might have forgotten to log, as it looks like we're actually doing quite well this month. Extra supplies for the wedding gathering & our camping trip (which was an absolute blast, we're already planning next year's trip!) haven't been counted, as they're not "normal" grocery expenditure, though actually we didn't spend that much in the event. And we're well ahead with Christmas wine & beer, as it didn't all disappear!
Just remembered that I did spend £15 at the baker's yesterday, as I bought some to freeze as they're closing for a couple of weeks, so I'll be off to add that in too. Still not too bad...Angie - GC Aug25: £106.61/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)3 -
