£22 Wholefoods order, think for the first time since the pandemic started I have nearly spent my monthly budget, I have stocked a few extra tins and dry goods, re above order, we went into local lockdown last night so will not be going to the shops, hopefully a few weeks and we can try "normal" again.
Just remembered I gave my neighbour £5 she got me some dried yeast yesterday and biscuits for a third person Sat, who will pay me.
Think I am going to call Sept quits and as budget balancedDo I need it or just want it.3 -
Food shopping for 1 this month £146.84 my target was £150 bought extra because of the lock-down, so November should be quite a bit less £120 would be good. I haven't counted Cat foodLow Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs

Compet - good luck with the move
Not declaring until Thursday night but
brought some spare butter, rolls, sugar and milk but still have about £15 left so going to blow it on tinned pantry bits IF it doesn't get spent before. Freezer is pretty empty (which is a scary thought) so I will make a list of useful things before I head out tomorrow. Might get my turkey tin foil now save forgetting later on and pantry will be things like emergency things like hot dog sausages, tuna, soups and what is on offer.
Nothing much else to report, bit of an odd dinner tonight - hunters style chicken, yorkshires, carrots and roast potatoes.
HM Burgers tomorrow and ham hock something Friday and then the fridge is empty 😕 too.
Nice to have a fresh start I suppose even though we have eaten some really random meals in the use up process.

Hope your move goes smoothly, Competsoph!
Declaring at a fair bit under my estimate for a very hectic & social month; maybe I need to go camping every month to stay on track! But one wedding's quite enough - for this year, anyway!Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)4 -
Over again the month! Did a bit shop with DD2 to take advantage of her staff discount. Total spent £37.84. Declaring for Sept at £218/£200. Not too bad. There are eight of us normally, seven extras at different times this month. Also six birthdays included in this, (if it's your birthday, you choose whatever you wish for tea in this house.) Freezers are running down well, should be room for the pigs next month, when I'll try to come in under budget again! Mumtoomany.Frugal Living Challenge 2025.2

I didn't take part this month because we were away in the motorhome for most of it - came back last Thursday. Still allowed my usual £250 for groceries and came in well under. However, the eating out budget took quite a hit which is probably why there is money left in the grocery budget. Anything left will be moved into my bulk fund for next month as need to top up with some freezer stuff as let that run down before our holiday.3

Finished on £687/£600.
I hadn't realised how long the month was when I set the budget, plus have had visitors etc. Better than I expected, more than I hopedJune Grocery Challenge £0/£250

Horrendously miscalculated the coffee supplies and had to top up this morning as otherwise I simply wouldn't be able to function for hours every day so that was another £8. Then the usual milk, juice and radishes which led to exotic mushrooms, baby carrots and red cabbage for another £8.08.
That brings me to £217.66/£200 so I think I'll declare now and go on over to October and have another go.
Night all, goldfinches.4 -
I haven't been concentrating this last fortnight or so. I think I've spent about £60 and that included six bottles of wine which were on offer at Sains. I'll try to find the receipts and add to my running total before going over to October. It's cold tonight, i've got out a blanket as I don't want to put the storage heaters on just yet. Stay cosy everyone x
