My Halifax, Lloyds and BOS closing all my accounts!

The fact that they have given you notice and not closed the account immediately is a good thing, sometimes they block and close the account without any warning. This means they know you are not doing anything illegal they just simply do not want you as a customer anymore.0

For what reason? What flagged it though?? I filed multiple complaints on resolver across all banks il see what can be done also heard someone recover it by doing a appeal anyone know anything about it?notveryeducated said:The fact that they have given you notice and not closed the account immediately is a good thing, sometimes they block and close the account without any warning. You call yourself General Trader. Perhaps the bank, although unable to prove anything illegal, just don't like the way you run your account. There was a case earlier where an account was closed because wages were paid into the account in cash. If banks have the slightest doubt, it's easier for them to close the account than risk an investigation.
Even though you think you've done nothing wrong, I'd be very careful with your new account, or you risk the same outcome.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.4 -

I do think banks should be make to tell you the reason for closure. How can you appeal if you dont know what you're appealing against? If they made a mistake, you have no course to get them to correct it.Even though you think you've done nothing wrong, I'd be very careful with your new account, or you risk the same outcome.
How can you be careful if you dont know what you did wrong in the first place tho?

You could read through the terms and conditions of your account and see if any of your actions could be interpreted as breaching them as others have noted above0

Did you read the terms and conditions of the LBG accounts when you opened them?bobblebob said:I do think banks should be make to tell you the reason for closure. It clearly states there that you cannot run a personal account for business purposes.0 -
My first thought was business use on a personal account too.
Fact been given 65 days to clear funds and not had them blocked and/or returned to sender suggests the same too.0 -

Only you know what has been going in and out of your bank account. If you feel aggrieved by the process then put in a complaint.GeneralTrader said:
