Doesnt mean they dont have a lease though, that's the first thing to check - chances are they do3

Is this a simple wooden pole with wires that only go to your property ? If yes then it is classified as a service pole - there won't be any wayleave - and if you want it moved the cost will be yours.
A photo or two will help.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -
The wayleave won't be in the title documents, though if one exists it should be in the legal pack. Even if there is none, that doesn't automatically mean you will be able to have the pole removed; after all it was probably quite apparent when you viewed and purchased the property!Utilities like electrical distribution and telecoms have quite wide sweeping powers and they'll use them if push comes to shove. If it isn't in their interests to move the pole, they may only do it for a fee, or not at all if the circumstances make alternatives unviable. Why do you want the pole moved?

You don't need a "template", just contact them and take it from there. Does the pole serve your property?0 -
We had our electricity pole moved when we had major building work - however, bear in mind that they assess how long the wires are that run from the pole to either your house or the next pole and they may only move the pole enough so as not to stretch the wires any more than they can without replacing the wires (which they will not want to do). Our pole was moved only 2 feet, from just inside the boundary wall to outside the boundary wall.1

Hello, thanks for the quick replies. Much appreciate ! Yes, the pole line has a wire going to the house and to other houses.. I want to remove it as it effectively makes 1/3 of the garden unusable. The utility company confirm that there is no wayleaves Or lease for the pole. Can it be brought underground or off the property - as if there is no wayleaves surely that means it’s ‘trespassing’? many thanks1

Your photo has rather cut off the top of the pole which is the interesting bit.
1/3 looks like a bit of an exaggerationNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -
I guess it's not so much the pole as the supporting cables/ground anchors.2

You can ask...
But why did you buy a house with a pole there?4 -
