You pay in advance -why would they do a credit check?0

ask them, this is what they are doingbrewerdave said:You pay in advance -why would they do a credit check?0 -
Plusnet doesn't -- I had trouble getting broadband due to no credit history when I first moved to the UK (rejected by Vodafone), and was able to get broadband from them without a credit check. A quick search online seems to indicate NOW TV doesn't either.2

BT didn't with me. I had a pitiful credit rating. I'm still with them so they must like me.
Although isn't PlusNet a subsidiary of BT?Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. I've been with virgin / sky and talk talk.
They all do credit searches because you have a credit account whereby you can use extra services (calls outside your bundle etc) and pay on your next bill. As daft as that is it's credit!
Mobile phones the same even though you pay the line rental in advance1 -
well, I actually didn't have a great experience with them in the past as was a 'third user' and there was a problem with payments with them as far as I know. Also have read an article that they can spoil your credit score which I cant paste the link to here but I hope they improved anyway.Rellekka said:

I was actually thinking about them too as currently I am using a BT but it is a line for all the house so 5 flats alltogether. Is that possible to have a separate line, I was afraid that it might collide in some wayMalMonroe said:BT didn't with me. I had a pitiful credit rating. I'm still with them so they must like me.
