The one you used online up `til now when they asked you to change it for their new login system.RG2015 said:
Thank you for this. However, I don't understand how you would know which previous password to use.2010 said:
You`ll still need the grid card and your previous password if you ring them up.RG2015 said:
Yes, the grid card has gone, but now they call me and I need to enter a number into my phone every time I want to log in. Bring back the grid card.wiseonesomeofthetime said:I have just managed to log in ok.
Had to reset all my details though as they seem to have got rid of the need of that grid card

They'll soon have an app, which hopefully will make the phone call redundant. But who knows what they'll dream up next.RG2015 said:

Do password managers remember previous passwords? I don’t use one but have a secure method for password storage which does not store old ones.2010 said:t

Let’s hope I don’t need to phone them.0 -
Thanks for this post, didn't know Coventry were changing the site login, not received any letter or online message.

I use Lastpass, and they don't remember previous passwords. I could record a previous password manually, but hadn't seen a need to do so. I had not been aware that Coventry require me to remember 2 passwords. Like you, I hope I won't ever have to call them.RG2015 said:

That's same one I got - sent it forthwith!wmb194 said:
It gets even worse: the maturity form I received yesterday stated that if it doesn't receive a response in the next couple of weeks my maturing funds will be automatically reinvested in a three(!) year and and a few months bond paying a lousy 0.9%. I thought this dodgy practice had died out years ago. Imagine if you're someone who doesn't check their post very often...MACKEM99 said:I do find it rather annoying to have to complete a from and send it back to them re a maturing bond or ring them, when I have online access. I guess its meant to put me off and keep the money with them?

And what about those who lose their phone / break it?
Telephone banking passwords / memorable info will still be needed.0 -
And what if you don't have another phone, e.g. landline to call them from, because you broke your mobile?
Problems galore

I know you are not going to like this from someone's who record keeping is second to none.. but I received a letter dated March 2020 stating that the login system was going to change and I need to log in now/soon to confirm my home and mobile numbers as once the changes were made I'd need one or other when I log in or use my account.kev2009 said:Thanks for this post, didn't know Coventry were changing the site login, not received any letter or online message.
