Spookily enough about to ask the same!! So answer is yes!! Enter my username and takes me to a page saying " Something gone wrong - page not available" so looks like site down, maybe too early for them!! Will try again later.

Thank goodness just not me.  Reassuring to know.
  • I have just managed to log in ok.

Had to reset all my details though as they seem to have got rid of the need of that grid card  :)

I could log in without difficulties just now. So whatever the problem was seems to have been fixed now.

Yes, the grid card has gone, but now they call me and I need to enter a number into my phone every time I want to log in. Bring back the grid card.  :)

You`ll still need the grid card and your previous password if you ring them up.

I do find it rather annoying to have to complete a from and send it back to them re a maturing bond or ring them, when I have online access.  I guess its meant to put me off and keep the money with them?

Thank you for this. However, I don't understand how you would know which previous password to use.

As part of the new online system you have to change your password. However, this does not change the password for telephone banking, which remains the same. I suppose the technical issue is that the new online password can contain special characters which are clumsy in a password used in a phone conversation and prone to error.

It gets even worse: the maturity form I received yesterday stated that if it doesn't receive a response in the next couple of weeks my maturing funds will be automatically reinvested in a three(!) year and and a few months bond paying a lousy 0.9%. I thought this dodgy practice had died out years ago. Imagine if you're someone who doesn't check their post very often...
