It's coming down, that's the main thing.
That'll be a nice boost to the loft fund and worth doing.

Payslip on and it’s £266... should be that for the next 4 weeks now until the new tax year. I’ve updated my spreadsheet and I’m £300 worse off than last week but that’s not bad considering a night away booked, festival tickets and £110 car repair plus it’s the end of the month which also depleted around £400 in regular payments anyway.

I have realised I’ve fallen behind on a couple of school bills (bus fare and levy and dd1 dinner account) so they’ll need to be addressed this week. I am currently on hold to the council to see what my balance is for the council tax and a housing benefit overpayment ive been paying for years. (Basically robbing Peter to pay Paul lol).

my mood goes with the weather. Been sat in yesterday and today just exhausted for no particular reason. It’s gone freezing again.

I keep checking work emails and there’s no mention of the bonus being extended so I’m gonna wait until it’s confirmed before I book more shifts. I’ll be going back to 23 hours a week from the last week of March anyway. I think I need to now I’m getting bored sat in and I don’t want to be working every Sunday once the kids are back in school properly.

Needs must at times and you'll have fun.
Try and prioritise those two old bills, get rid of them for good.
Can you ask about the bonus, saves waiting to find out and potentially having to rejig plans.

The weather will pick up again, it's due to be nice Friday and Saturday up here!

Yeah I’m £320 in credit with the council tax and owe £206 on the HB so I’ve just set up £10 weekly SO and it’ll be paid in July. I’ll have to sort the school stuff on Friday when I’m paid.

Fingers crossed for better weather! DP was on the ice cold floor all morning today doing the brakes but needs must and they should last a while.

Yeah I really should call the Nurse bank and ask about the bonus, I also need to get unlocked to work across the trust rather than just A&e. When I went back they restricted me to a&e for 3 months so I could have ‘support’... there’s no such thing lol! I might do that tomorrow.

    Hope you’re well xx

The debt it's too bad and has an end date soon.
There's never any support when returning to work, not enough time or staff to do it.

Hi! Not much to update financially. No op or savings since last week as it was bills week so nothing left over! Hopefully get a bit of money this Friday.

It’s the final ‘bonus’ payment but I only done 33 hours in February due to tax credits so it won’t be much at all. I’m glad I didn’t email the bank directly and just waited for the trust email as that was really snotty and said the bonus has ended and they never had to pay any bonus at all... apparently there’s been trouble behind the scenes over it!

I’ve got an interview next Thursday for a permanent a&e post. I’m relieved  because it’s been that long since I applied I was starting to feel awkward that they didn’t want me as I hadn’t heard anything. It’s a video interview which I hate. I get super nervous. I’m gonna pop into the sisters office on Sunday and ask if I can book a shift and do it face to face instead- they can only say no! I know the 2 sisters that are interviewing me so I should be fine either way.

I joined Instagram the other day. It was only because I wanted to look at a company page and I had to log in to see it. Anyway I ended up spending 2 days looking at #diyrenovation and #loftconversions. And it’s was all good and inspiring but just not mse at all so I deleted it last night. I need to be building funds not getting temptation to buy rubbish out the shops for nice photos lol!

I’m looking forward to the end of the month when I go back to 2 days a week that’ll boost my savings quicker then. On one day I just manage to get by. If I go permanent I’ll be asking for 23 hour contract so I’ll be doing 2 days contracted for my monthly salary then can do a 3rd day or half day for my bank shift which is weekly pay. I have been on weekly or fortnightly pay forever as ive always had 2 jobs or tax credits so I wouldn’t be able to function on a single monthly payment. I’m mentally preparing myself for tax credits stopping next year as it was always the plan to work more when the kids needed me less and now that time has come!!

Good luck with the interview, regardless of how it's done. I know you will find a way to budget, however you do your hours.

The awkward thing with looking at some professional makeovers is the large pot of available money they have to do it.

Just hopping on to say good luck with the interview, @FtbDreaming. I've just caught up with your whole diary and I'm amazed at how organised and resiliant you are.

    Thanks both of you!

Deffo @MovingForwards it was tempting me to want things that didn’t make financial sense hence me deleting it lol.

@Chiglepig haha I supposed I have to be resilient as there’s always some sort of spanner in the works 🤯 and I do love organising things!

Payslips on today. £323 bonus pay and no normal pay. Glad I cancelled the other Sunday shift as it would have probably got swallowed up on the tax and student loan! I need to have a mental debate what I’m gonna do. I’m thinking no overpayments this month & put half in the loft fund and keep half back each week to live as got 3 more tight weeks until I go back to my 2 shifts a week.

The weather has been awful. All I have done is sit on my bum. I ordered sun loungers and new table and chairs for the back garden when it was sunny and now it’s torrential rain and they’re due to be delivered any day now 😂 at least I got in there before they all sold out like last year! Xxx

You need general money (food, bills, clothes etc) and EF.
You want loft savings and O/Ps.
That's the order I would prioritise money coming in.

Not quite spring yet, but you'll get good use out of your garden furniture.
