Hello! Well that went fast! Glad xmas is over with now. It’s DD2 9th birthday on New Year’s Eve so I’m all ready for that now then back to work New Year’s Day.

I actually can’t wait to get back to work now. The kids have done nothing but fight for days. We would have usually done so much over Christmas but they’ve barely left the house. I read somebody else’s thread saying they’re anxious if the schools close and I feel the same. Luckily I’m a key worker so the youngest 2 will be going anyway whether they like it or not but dd1 is off until at least the 11th upto now.

Today DH got free food off fb. There were 15 packets of mushrooms, about 50 oranges, 6 punnets of tomatoes, 20 bunches of spring onions and some mint, spinach and coriander! Sooo I’ve spent all day chopping blanching and freezing it all! Hopefully we will use it after the effort I put in.

I’ve also completed stage 3 of the job I was going for. It given me a massive headache and I probably failed but at least I tried. It’s a 4 stage process so if I passed the online test then I get a face to face (zoom) interview. I didn’t want to do it over xmas but the recruitment woman must be on commission and is very pushy/ good at her job.

10 days till payday! Probably another 3 weeks until I’m back to having money. When I do I’m going to treat myself to some hair/ beauty treatments because I spend every penny on everyone else and need a little treat!

    Roll on 2021 🙂

    Happy new year 🥳

I’ve made my first op of 2021 £66.27 bought the balance down to £68,100 so I’ll be in the £67s by 1st feb! I am still debating how to make the op. I will be making the £66 ish each month to round the balance down to the next £00 so with the direct debit that means £200 a month is coming off the balance.

I’ve set myself 2021 MFW target of £4200 which in my head is £420 a month for 10 months then spend as I like November & December on xmas and Bdays. I am not sure how I want to do the £4200 (-£66 a month) the obsessive part of me just wants to pay it down each month to see the balance reduce but the other half of me that’s learnt from 2020 is saying put it in my ISA then when I reach £xxxx I can throw half into the mortgage and still have half as cash then keep doing it so I always have a cash reserve in case I end up up the creek again!

Payday isn’t until next Friday anyway so I’ll keep debating it! I’m in work today. Just a late shift to start the year. I hope it’s ok but the news makes me anxious saying the hospitals are struggling... it’s true we do struggle but that’s every single winter and even stretching all year round not just because of covid! Hence me trying out for this new opportunity. I know it’ll be a different stress but hopefully not as bad as Nursing sick people on trolleys on corridors with no equipment and no support! We’ll see!
