⭐ update the freezer inventory
⭐ sort the empty jars, they are taking over the kitchen. Either recycling or keep for preserves
Both me & dd were woken by internal doors banging due to the wind, the other 2 didn't react.
Small achievements this week have included:going shopping and sticking to the list
ordering nephews birthday present
processing more windfall apples
submitting the meter readings
dealt with the jars to stop them from taking over the kitchen
dealt with a frog 🐸
home educated the children for free
dried all the laundry outside
Plans for today:
⭐ wash hair with the shampoo bar
⭐ let hair dry naturally
⭐ home educate the children
⭐ stick to the meal plan
⭐ B/L/D from stores
⭐ NSD
⭐ Pmp etc
Things I would like done before next weeks thread:
🔷 reorganise the freezers
🔷 write a new freezer inventory
🔷 update spending diary
🔷 go blackberry picking
🔷 deal with a frog in the spare room
🔷 reorganise the items we are storing to take to OH parents as they are causing problems where they are
Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases
One income, home educating family6 -
Morning folks
@DawnW - I'm loving the preserving talesI must do more raspberry jam too
Early start for the gym this morning but all checked off now. Woke up in horror as my alarm went off as I realised that I hadn't sorted the shopping out and OH would be doing a click and collect order of 10 bananas. Rang shop when lines opened at 7 and they said just not to come for it. Have sorted shop for tomorrow. I'd had it all sorted, but wanted to check about OH's hair gel as the offer had gone and then just forgot. Ooops.
Also still haven't done the budget sheet as I was shattered last night and went up to bed about 8.20!
Today I'm off to the hairdresser after work as they are redoing my colour for free as it didn't really work last time. Also will ring the scooter place to get a heads up of what I might need to consider tomorrow. Other than that, very successful week in work where I've managed to tick off everything on my list with a bit of time to spare
Have a good weekend all

Hi August Austerity Fans,Managed to fit in a couple of things before work.Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Six:
Checked online banking.
Alarm clock off at the wall during day time.Turn off Wifi box when not using it.Do some online voluntary work.Cut up and froze homegrown apples. I think they are more cookers than eaters.Persuaded DW to use previously frozen portions of onion and kidney beans in tonight's chilli.Take packed lunch to work. Mainly shrapnel from the fridge.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama7 -
Preserving continues - I made spicy bean chutney this morning, and currently have another vat full of ratatouille chutney bubbling away on the stove. Getting seriously short of jars, but DD2 is going to bring some empty ones round tomorrow - and leave with some full ones no doubtNot done much else - stressy visit to localish farm shop this afternoon as I was getting short of onions (now used all my HG ones). Not sure why as there were only a couple of other customers. One person directly after me decided he wouldn't bother with all their extremely stringent rules (where / how you had to stand, style of face covering, not touching anything, lots of barriers, own bags compulsory etc etc), and if OH hadn't been there, I would have joined him. All the rules are sensible individually of course, but too many barked orders / rules/ restrictions, particularly given it is on a farm in the middle of nowhere / partially open fronted barn as opposed to a city centre shop under notice of potential lockdown. I would have bought more had I not been struggling to remember all the rules - and I am a real fusspot about it all
Shan't go again, particularly as we had to drive there.
Wish I had gone to W*itrose instead to be honest (least stressy supermarket, not the cheapest, but their value onions wouldn't have broken the bank, in fact would have been cheaper than the farm shop... Also got a bag of their own potatoes. If they are good (they usually are) I might send OH to get some more when I run out, as the stressy lady stressed me out, and it would all have just gone over his headVery windy here, got one load of washing dry, currently have a pair of jeans on the line that have been wet / almost dry several times due to random heavy rain showers.Sold an item on ebay for a less than exciting price, and walked dog for free exercise. Right, must go and inspect the latest chutney! I ran out of chutney this winter, and am determined not to do so again7 -
Morning folks
Quick one from me before I nip to the beauticians to get my shellac soaked off. Not feeling quite right in the tummy department this morning so I hope that gets better, not worse.
Hair looks ok. We decided that there wasn't much point using the same bright colour as the results would be the same so she's gone for normal colour. My hair is now a nice auburn/copper sort of colour and root stretch looks good. Very normal for me and it's def not what I want in the long term. After a couple of weeks I might dump some red on it and see what happens
Today will mostly be catching up with washing. I need to nip to the sm at 12 to collect the shopping that I didn't do right yesterday
Might see about scooter but will have to see how stomach feels. Will probably just potter and cook.
edit - adding list as I go:Strip bed - done
Wash bedding - done
Dark wash - done
Dust kitchen - done
Dust dining room
Remake bed - done
Cook down sweet potatoes - done and made a huge cake
Sort out budget sheet - phew that was a mission. Food spending still out of all control... not sure why. Partly more treats, partly product availability. At least we are eating it all.
Have a good one all

This week I have been looking at my budget.
I have cancelled anything not needed (reduction in income so got to save some pennies) and starting a spending diary.6 -
Morning allHope you feel better soon CLF, and welcome frostie101Just sat down for a coffee. So far today I have:Early dog walk, deserted streets and free exercisePut some things away in the loft eaves cupboardPut away Icyland order that arrived bright and earlyLabelled the ratatouille chutney I made last night. Must put it away.Prepped and boiled up a half sized batch of apple chutney - I only had enough apples left for a half batch. Also, this is one I used to make years ago, and we might find it a bit bland now. We all seem to like much spicier things these days, don't we? I will need to pot it up in a minute.Made a batch of shortcake biscuits, as DD is coming round with the kids this afternoon. I have to think of something that the children will like, that I can make dairy free as the littlest one has a dairy intolerance, or at least his Mum thinks he has. I will ice and decorate some of these for afternoon tea (they are quite yummy as they are, I ate a broken one, but the kids would think them underwhelming without a bit of icing and some sprinkles)Other plans:Make some sort of goats cheese tart for dinner. It will also need to feature tomatoes!See if the basil plantation in the greenhouse needs watering. Nothing outside will, as it poured with rain yesteerday afternoon.5

Morning
finally caught up with everyone's plans!
Today I am child free as madam is with dd for a few nightsI had a super lay in - woke up at 10.30, I can't remember the last time I woke up that late! I'm about to go to the allotment for a few hours
Other than that I hope to:
* hang washing out on line. Might do another
* cut out some fabric for another set on sanitary pads I've had and sew the inner core for them. That's 7 orders I've had in the last few months! I'm waiting on some thread to be delivered before I can finish them now....
* all meals from stores - fish pie for tea to use up fish
* start altering/refashioning a dress I bought last year for this purpose. I want to wear it to a get together next week
* had loosely arranged to see a friend at some point today for her birthday. Need to make contact and see what she wants to do
* do TOMM catch up session. I tend to not do very much on my working days
That's all. Have a great dayDF as at 30/12/16
