Didn't you converse with them long before it was finished?0

We spoke to them the whole way along. Every decision that needed to be made, my wife and I spoke to each other first. We also spoke to the guys doing the work about what colour grout they would use, then whether the we wanted mortar at the base of the wall around the area or grout to make sure e couloir was consistent.
then on the last day when they were due to finish the wall and do the grout, they said the slabs were too close for grouting but they would brush a special sand between them to seal them
then they decided the slabs were too close even for thatWe’d never told them to do that, we wanted grout (we’d had discussions about the colour and how good it would be to not need to weed between the slabs) but when we queried this with them and told them manufacturers instructions said they’d done it wrong and it will cause problems, they then said we’d told them to do it
so the slabs are wrong, the walls are coming apart, a concrete levelling step to the driveway is crumbled and broken they broke the boiler and that’s just what we can see now!0 -
porcelain was used for one of the builds on BBC program available on IPlayer.
the actual build where you can see what it looks like is around 40 mins you can see them laying with spacers.

Thanks for this. I’m sure our lot will tell us we took their spacers away and told them not to use them!0
