im a bit confused. i booked a slot for saturday at 6pm, after the heads up on here about signing into your account. but ive now been sent a VIP email, and that says i can book a slot for sunday or monday. ive checked into my next account, and it says i have a slot booked for saturday. so is the sale starting on saturday or not? or is the VIP invite, even more select than normal, and different people get given even more prefential treatment over which time slot they can book?

Maybe as you've only just been sent the email they sent yours after all the Saturday slots were booked up?

As long as it says Saturday when you log into your account then that should be fine. I'm booked in for 6pm on Saturday aswell, there's only a few things I'm thinking of getting though.

I have been told that all customers ordering goods at sales prices from Saturday will have their account number checked against the VIP invites list. Anyone whose account number doesn't appear on that list will simply have their order cancelled

On Thurs I booked a slot for 11.30pm on Sat but received an E-Mail on Friday morn inviting me to apply for a VIP slot for Sun and Mon too..... Does this mean i'll be ok???? PANIC!!!

im thinking that the sale doesnt really start on saturday evening.

has anyone whose been sent an invite, actually been given saturday as their time slot? as ive asked around a few friends now, and were all been sent an invite saying the sale doesnt start until 5.30am sunday

also why would they cancel orders once they have been placed. i would say, if it lets you log in, and checkout, then your order has gone through ok. its gonna cause mayhem their end, if they have to cancel orders, and keep updating stock levels, just because someone bought outside of their time slot. i think the only reason they have time bandings, is so too many people dont log on at once, and slow the site down. if you have a VIP link, then if means they have some control over numbers accessing the site

im sure its just a marketing tactic anyway, build up the frenzy, we all buy way more than we wanted, and they know once we get it home, that well keep the majority of it, as its such a good bargain. still, it doesnt stop me buying into it. im edgy already, with anticipation lol
