anyone else know where you stand on getting proof of returns.

i quite often get sent lots of items in one parcel, but they come with an invoice that is 3-4 seperate pages long. however, when i return items, the courier will only stick a proof of returns on one of the pages.

recently ive had several returned items not being credited to my account, and im having to prove that i returned them, but as the courier's sticker isnt on the invoice for the missing items (but on page 1 of the invoice), im banging my head against a wall.

the courier just keeps saying, one parcel, one proof of return. but if all the items come in only one bag, i only have one bag in which to return them

i used to get a proof on every invoice that i returned, and they seemed to have changed things

    any ideas?

I'm hoping lots of people are taking returns back, as I'm actually after some of the maternity clothes, and it seems that every sale, people mistakenly buy them as it's not always clear from the picture. So to read that some of you will be returning maternity stuff cheers me up - thank you!

Also on another note, whats really bugging me is those people who have brought esp to resell on ebay, Its not worth the hassle having to relist it just for a few quid more, when people actually wanted it in the first place.

You know what I don't get about this. People will pay £6 for a pair of jeans then have to make £3 on them to cover fees and profit and then charge £3 for postage and packing so it has cost someone £12 to buy a pair of jeans that they could have gone into Next to buy or bought from the directory and got a free delivery code to have them delivered. I looked a few months ago at getting my son some new clothes but they sell for, plus the packing, justa few pounds less than it costs to buy new from the current range  It's the idiots who buy from eBay and pay full shop price that keep these sellers going!!

I buy once a year and I buy for the next year up so I can get 18 months or so wear out of them unless they ave a huge growth spurt, LOL!! It is so annoying when you get a VIP Code and still can't get anything. the last couple of sales I have not managed a thing, this time I have got enough tops for DD to last a year or so, but I did not manage any skirts, she won't wear trousers at all so that makes it more difficult.

I have the same problem nearly every sale time and I'm now starting to feel like a criminal even though I know that I have returned the item in a parcel which they have obviously received because other items have been recredited. Like you I have to prove I have returned it - which is near impossible so I just stick to my guns and write to them listing everything that was in the parcel. I now tell them that they have to prove to me that they haven't received the item. To date I have always received a refund.....

I wouldn't mind, but the one time they were disputing not having received back a girls t shirt that was £1.99 and yet my total order was in excess of £500, Surely if I was going to 'rip them off' I'd do it for something other than a £2 top!!!

I also have the problem where item's are listed on my despatch note but not included in the parcel. Again I have to 'prove' that it wasn't included and yet it's not my fault their despatch unit can't get things right!!!

Next - aaarrrrgggghhh - still love the sale though;) :rotfl:

I'm not if this would help at all but i always use one invoice with the most items im returning on, cross out all the ones im keeping and then manually add the otehrs to it, there is two sections to do this. The bit that goes in the parcel and the bit the courier puts the sticker on..

this time ive had two items on my invoice but no there but with a delayed paper inside...doesnt say for which item although it is a bit obvious there is no proof if the ask as normally they stamp it :(
  • i have received most of my £700 order. I had about 10 items which appeared as 'will arrive in 1-2 weeks'. I have not received any of them yet. has anyone in a similar situation received theirs. They items are a coat for me, one for daughter and one for hubbie and few pairs of jeans. Is it possible i may not get them?

I've always not received some things that say they have a delay on them in previous sales.. ive rang up about them a few weeks later and been told unavailable which is annoying.

I have quite a few 1-2 weeks this time too.
  • have u received any of your 1-2 weeks this time lab-dab
  • A couple of the items I ordered were on a 1-2 week delay as well. I haven't received any of them yet, but it is very early days still.
