Virgin media.. I need help to cancel

Beckydev

I am moving property soon, hoping we get a moving date within the month.
I can't get virgin media at the new property so tried to give my 30 day notice. I have rang but it diverts me to online chat, tried that with no success. I started the chat, 8 hours later they replied but I wasn't around, this happened 3 times.
Apart from cancelling my direct debit I'm not sure what to do.

If you cancel your direct debit you will ruin your credit file for the next six years.

I have an address now that I am going to write too with my 30 day notice. I wasn't going to cancel direct debit but that's the only option I could think off to stop the rolling bills.0
