DCBL- Unpaid parking Charge Final Reminder from Highview- PCN Dropped!!!!!

Hi guys, just want to share my success story with you and hopefully this can help someone out there.
On the 24th June I received a letter from DCBL on behalf of Highview parking called Notice of Debt recovery asking me to pay £165.00 for a PCN. The PCN was from December 2017 they sent it to an old address so clearly i didn't receive any of the PCNs. Allegedly I parked at Urban Exchange in Manchester for 1 hour 16 minutes. Its 2 hours free parking but you must validate it in the shops if you spend over an hour. Long story short I tried to ring Highview to see if i could appeal because i was a genuine customer of the retail park but they were not interested and said it had been passed onto DCBL. So ignored the letter and went about my day.
On the 4th August i received a final reminder from DCBL saying i was at risk of legal proceedings being issued against me. I started to panic a little so I came on here and saw advice about sending a complaint email to the owners of the retail park (Urban Exchange) and so i did. It was a lengthy email and I saw a couple of templates on here that I used. I just got an email today from Highview Parking saying:

Dear Sir/Madam,

We are contacting you in relation to your Parking Charge Notice (PCN).

We can confirm that your Notice has been cancelled in full and no further action will be taken.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter.

Yours faithfully,

Highview Parking Limited

    Hi There

My son has been sent Final demands from DCBL for parking tickets issued by, Vehicle Control Services Limited dating back to 2018, looks like he has just ignored everything and I'm worried that this might affect his credit rating if we do not pay these

Any advise would be very helpful, in the past i have seen that ignoring these can work and they eventually give up, is this the case

    Regards

    Shaun

Did you not read @Redx's advice to you above?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
