Tomorrow I will also be putting in an offer for one of their properties. When I went to the showroom the sales assistant was less than helpful when it came to quoting me the upgrades and so I used the pdf in this thread. I want about £12k worth, although I will be reviewing as mine includes upgraded sockets etc. For me, I want to move in and have everything done! When I place my offer, I will be trying to do a deal with the upgrades to get the price down! Good Luck x
Yeah I'm in the same mindset, i'd like to have everything ready when i move in. I don't mind paying a bit more for the extras just because it's easier to get it done by Persimmon but if the prices are ridiculous like double then i will look to have it done by someone privately x
Ok so my offer was made and accepted. I got £10k off the asking price, FOC flooring throughout and the FOC kitchen Upgrade. I’ve decided to go for the upgrades and have paid the 20%, remaining to be payable on completion. I’m pretty happy, and as I wanted, it will be ready to move into without any DIY!
just wondering,  was that off the House purchase price or the total of the quoted extra finishing touches?
Doubt you will get an answer the OP was last active on here in August 2020.

My parents bought a new house in 70s. The only thing not done was garden turf (seems the most obvious to do, but there you go).

These extras seem like an excuse to focus the price negotiation in that small area and stop any major negotiation being done on the very expensive prices they often are. So you end up with a few k off then add that back again for extras, do they sell for close to the original expensive marketed price.
