    hold on. 457mm ordered
    450mm delivered
With the brackets I guess these would push you a few mm over and this is the challenge? E.g. the housing fits, but add the brackets and its over?

I suspect B2G will dispute and Amex could cover through good will and you might get to dispose of the blind...if you do...

The pelmet is a simple cut with a handsaw (I have some blinds from them and they made ours longer than the blind as it had option ends which could be fitted) - just trimmed ours to fit.
The one thing I will say is B2G outsource, they are all made from a kit which they just add to as needed - so if the slats work width wise then you can take a bit off the top carcass as its just PVC U tube and you have a snug fitting blind.

    Its 459mm
2mm over the smallest dimension provided (the one they say not to deduct anything from)
Thats a clear instruction. How do you fit an item into a space when its 2mm longer than the space available?
Especially when they state they deduct 10mm to 'ensure the blind fits perfectly'
How does an item 2mm bigger than the supplied maximum length 'fit perfectly'?

This is why I was so shocked when they said it’s within their tolerances?!

All potential customers should know that Blinds2Go are comfortable selling blinds that are too big for the supplied dimensions as their tolerances allow it! I have honestly never experienced customer service this poor.

I wonder what led them to a change of mind. That’s still a lot of hassle though and I’ll still be avoiding them in future. Mental note made.
  • Although they are making a replacement (within 28 days), they still made the point of saying the original was within their tolerances as stated in T&C’s so beware!

And you thought you'd won!  Better keep your fingers crossed...

Well I was looking for new blinds for the entire south side of our house, but I know who to avoid now.
Well done Blinds2Go, whoever in your CS department caused this thread to be created has just cost you 6 windows worth of orders...
  • I had exactly the same problem with Blinds2Go a couple of years ago, they jusy couldn;t care less. Also I think web-blinds.com are also part of the same company.

I've recently ordered from a company  MakeMyBlinds who have banked my money knowing full well they don't have the components to produce the blinds (they didn't tell me this until after the date they were supposed to be dispatched and then only because I chased them). The service from MakeMyBlinds has somehow been far worse than Blind2Go!!!

The only company I seem to have had success with is DotComBlinds
  • I've no links or affiliation to another company, only as a customer.
Others might have a different experience, but another to consider is Blinds Direct. I've used them on three occasions for made to measure vertical blinds and made to measure curtains. No issues except the curtains order took a long time to complete, three weeks compared to their estimated one.
I did have the need to contact them about missing blinds brackets. I was sent extra, without question, 1st class post.
