Robin Hood Energy launched a stonkingly good gas tariff in early July, 12m Summer Saver.  It was limited to 2000 new customers and not surprisingly was soon withdrawn and replaced with a more expensive version, 12m Summer Saver v2.
But the good news is that the original 12m Summer Saver came back yesterday !
It even offers Warm Home Discount.

  • Probably because Nottingham City Council have just written off £24m of debt owed to them by RHE. I'm glad my council tax means any one in the country can get cheap energy prices.

Your generosity is much appreciated !
However, we southerners are heavily subsidising the good folk Oop Noorf: we get fined a year's salary or whatever if we dare to get on our bikes and move home...

That's not cheap - the gas is £40 more per year than with my current supplier, the electricity is about the same!

Gas at 2.0265p per kWh is great for high usage, but YMMV.

Nope !  It's still top of the pops even for average gas usage of 12,000 kWh.  I never said it was cheap for everyone, but for average or high usage it' seems absolutely unbeatable, although Clif will no doubt do a Donald.
Maybe not so good if you only have a Bunsen burner...

For my London postcode it beats OFTM above 10,500 kWh.

Mine's the original with no version number, but prices vary regionally. The one that's come back has the original prices.

I must be on a very good tariff at the moment, as their gas works out at £1.28 a month cheaper than what I am currently paying and does not run out until the end of Sept 2021.  It's the 26.4p a day SC which is the killer for me.

Currently paying Standing Charge: 12.4 p/day, Unit Rate: 2.83 p/kWh
