The person who reopened the thread today clearly says in their post

. My mortgage broker said to me today that the only thing I can do is get this wiped quickly, find an extra £15k on the deposit to fund the missing gap or take a step back and loose the house.
Or was your advise for somebody else? Last person before her psited in July 2022.

my post was clearly for 'anyone in this situation' which includes those who find this thread in the future and resurrect it again.
Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.
  • Update - Perseverance is key!

I have just logged in to CheckMyFile to see that all my negative markers have been removed from EON. I now have a credit rating of 816 out of 1000 and 3 stars. This is compared to 516 and 1.5 stars I had yesterday. Everything is showing as green back to 2017 which is when my record goes back to. I am now also in the green compared to being in the red yesterday. To say I am relieved is an understatement but the anger has also set in as well to see how much (as the credit agency suggested) it has effected my credit rating. A friend whose husband is a solicitor believes I have a very good chance to get a settlement/compensation and is willing to take this up but this has been so awful and I don't know if it is worth it. As long as my mortgage advisor can get me my original mortgage and I can proceed with buying, that would be great.

But for anyone who has this problem, email them daily. Carry on bothering them. I got an email on Saturday to say that they would talk to the data team and then this happened. But I had to jump through a lot of hoops and to say it has taken a significant amount of time is an understatement. I have been on the phone daily for hours at a time as well as hours spent emailing. I had to take time off of work to get this sorted as well as their phone lines close at 5pm so be aware of that! I also don't know if this is down to EON or whether this is down to the credit agency who I raised a dispute with as I have had no communications to confirm where this has come from. I will pop up email addresses over the next few days in case anyone finds themselves in this situation but the next few days will now be spent trying to save my house!

Thanks everyone for the advice and support though. To say this has been an awful week is an understatement but it looks like I am out on the other side! (Hopefully!)
