Wait. You didnt tell us about this discount
Sounds like BW legal desperately sending out letters to everyone on their case system
You shouldnt be on there. As i said above, if its a year old your data is being illegally processed by BWL and I would suggest ou consider a court claim against them
Of course you send a LBA first, instructing them to cease and desist from processing your data for a claim relating to a case struck out a year ago, and requiring they pay you the sum of £500 for misuse of yoru data, in breach of DPA2018

    Do what nosferatu1001 says above

Clearly BWLegal are very desperate.   If they keep this rubbish going they will really upset the courts. And as said by Ralph, complain to the SRA

BWLegal may be good at collecting old gas bills which are proven but they are well well out of their depth in the Parking Industry

Save that letter just in case, it will give a judge a good laugh

    Hi
Would love to! Is there somewhere on the site with a template / instructions on how i can go about this?

On a seperate note I also received a letter at the start of Covid-19 offering me a reduction on this case, which had already been thrown out by judge, which i just ignored. (not sure I still have the letter though but this would also be misuse of data as case was dealt with months before?)

    Thanks
    Ian

My case was this time last year, so well over the 21 days, hopefully means they can't do anything.
Also though it was strange they were offering a discount on the amount to be paid in my letter today, if they are so sure this is a slam dunk decision surely they'd go after the full amount?
So before DJ Grand's decision in November 2019.
    Hi

Yes well before the DJ Grand case, and i still got a letter this morning!

There is no template. Write something and show us it.
    This is a legal process
No short cuts when youre potentially initiating a claim. You need to go into this prepared.

Just write a letter laying out the facts and what you want to happen, give them a time scale - say 10 days - and be prepared to follow it up.  The letter has mostly been written for you by your posts and the response from @nosferatu1001

I had a couple of such letters from BW Legal earlier in the year (https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6025309/britannia-bwlegal-another-claim-struck-out-for-abuse-of-process/p2).  I recall seeing other threads mentioning this unsavoury aspect of their business model and it fits with the threats on their website to apply for all claims previously struck out for being an abuse of process to be set aside ('Why Customers should now contact BW Legal to reach a resolution').
