Parabens are used in lots of comestics and creams these days. There's been some suggestion that they might be linked to breast cancer, but this is disputed.

Glycerin is almost always a by product of bio-fuel production, so veggies like shouldn't be too concerned.
Still trying to work out how the hell Tesco have their Taurine-based energy drink labelled as suitable for veggies though.
Cheers

I am aware of the difference (though it is true that the two are often confused). Gelatin is aprotein jelly that is obtained by boiling animal tissues such as hooves, bones, horns and skin whereas glycerin (also known as glycerine, glycerol or E422) is acolourless liquid that can be obtained from animal fats, sugar fermentation or propylene. Thus while gelatin is always animal-derived, it is often impossible to know whether glycerin is plant-derived without asking the manufacturer, as they do not have to state the origin on the label (though some do state, e.g., "vegetable glycerin").0 -

Oh, and the taurine in Red Bull is synthetically produced, so it is vegetarian (and, indeed, vegan). In fact, synthetic taurine is also added to cat food too; this is because after the meat has been processed there is often inadequate taurine in it (taurine is a vital nutrient for cats).0 -
