New Halifax Reward account. Has anyone figured out a way around £500 spending?

Just to add to my post above: Chip CS got back to me and "wouldn't advise using other banks to deposit money" via Apple Pay, so to me that's not a clear cannot. YBS account was surprisingly quick to set up just now so at least I have a couple of options if Revolut goes wonky.0

I have been trying to do my £500 into Revolut for the last 3 days and each time they are all declined.
Not sure if it's them or Halifax.0 -
Just to make sure, you are trying to make this payment using your Halifax debit card?poshrule_uk said:I have been trying to do my £500 into Revolut for the last 3 days and each time they are all declined.

Perhaps try a smaller transaction first? The first time I tried to pay into Revolut it was blocked, but I was able to pay in £50-100 without issue. You can meet the £500 spend criteria with multiple transactions if needed.poshrule_uk said:I have been trying to do my £500 into Revolut for the last 3 days and each time they are all declined.

Anyone with more than one Reward account - how long did it take for your Reward Extras Tracker to show your second account after you picked your reward? (And had it confirmed including by email.)
I know it can take days for debit card spending toward the £500 to show up, but the day after upgrading my second account to Reward & picking the spend option, I'd be happy to just see a display of £0 there. The upgraded account (neither of mine are joint) doesn't exist there. On app and website, only the original account appears in Reward Tracker.0 -
Just a thought ... and I apologise for not reading all bar the most recent posts.
I used to pay into my ISA using a Tesco Bank debit card (at the ISA platform) and gained Clubcard points. I haven't done this myself but can't we do this with the Reward account and subsequently withdraw it to another bank account, ISAs are easy access these days.

Yes, you can, but not all ISAs are easy-access and even fewer are flexible (if you want to withdraw) and allow debit card deposits. Also, it can be a simple savings account, not necessarily ISA.dealyboy said:

One of fairly limited interest, but does anyone use a Esso fuelcard as part of their £500 spend?
I saw a post in the motoring forum, saying an Esso fuelcard is normally £43 but is available free with a Blue light card. I've signed up and you have to give debit card details for payment. I've given my new Halifax reward card and am hoping that will count towards my spend.0 -
Sometimes when paying with DC to YBS the transaction failsPloughmansLunch said:Just to add to my post above: Chip CS got back to me and "wouldn't advise using other banks to deposit money" via Apple Pay, so to me that's not a clear cannot.
