The person has asserted that I am guilty of a criminal offence ....
Really? Where have I said that?

Context is everything.
I would add, in relation to mistakes in relation to CJRS claims, I understand the Government have indicated there will be some 'give back' mechanism which is penalty-free in relation to erroneous claims that have been submitted based on rules and implementation of a system all implemented with such haste.0 -

Well that answer my question, seems you don't want help. I'm sorry to hear that.0 -
For goodness sake alun4, please try to hear the message and not the perceived tone.
Dunston was scenario setting to help you explain it to your employee (which you seem to be having enormous trouble with despite being in business for 40 odd years) NOT calling you a criminal. Some of the tenses used might have made it sound like a real time thing but anyone reading all the context and not odd bits here and there could work that out.
Your problem is firstly YOU not your employee. You simply do not seem to want to deal with the situation you actually have and would seem to prefer it to be something else.
I don't think you've responded to any of the advice other than to take offence at certain words and perceived accusations.
I can't work out if you're just a gentle soul, scared to death of your own shadow and of your employee or something else.
If your employee doesn't turn up today you MUST take some action and stop dithering. You can be generous with her (let her take holiday or unpaid leave rather than disciplinary) if you want as long as you and she understand that it IS generosity and not an entitlement. I'd make sure she knows that trying to to leave by refusing to come in will ultimately result in dismissal and NOT redundancy. But also bear in mind that her words , paraphrased to 'its not worth it for me' , are very telling and do not sound like friends it in together as you perceive the situation but as an employee out for themselves.
You are doing NOTHING wrong by using the part time furlough scheme, for bringing your employee in even if there is not a full day's work yet and for being upset that your employee isn't playing ball. The problem is your employee does not seem to know the rules of the game and is hogging that ball and the only person to tell her what those rules are is you and you don't want to.
Good luck and please, even if she turns in today, have a proper conversation to get yourselves on the same page.

So, did they turn up on Friday or did they enjoy the hot weather as it was not worth them working at taxpayer expense?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I'm sure that you will be inundated with applications to an advertisment for a part time zero hours flexible role. For many earning is something is better than nothing at the current time. Unfortunately your employee knows your weaknessess and is now taking the opportunity to exploit them. Showing a complete of loyality with no regard for whether your business survives or not. Nor the amounrt of personal aggravation they are causing you. Only when times get difficult do you find out those who you can rely on and those that have always own had self interest at heart. My two words to you are. Be Tough.alun4 said:
Probably enough "true work" to occupy 2 hours for 2 days a week. but we should all be attempting and testing the route back (is my understanding)dunstonh said:Well, do you need her back working or not?
