Thanks all reply's
Claimed increase-no plans to use increased limit.
Yes technically speaking in process recent persistent debt with Aqua -was on track to clear mid 2022 -could have brought that forward to mid or late 2021 next year, not quite convinced FCA have thought all eventualities with their 'forced 48 months plan' -surely checks could have been made with CC providers and Debtors to consider at which rate Payments are being ,made.
No Vanquis comments, I've read a few negative threads -personally I find them fine over telephone if required, though staff certainly speak 'Spend what you want' type advice!
I posted latest increase via mse as it wasn't expected during 2020.
Maybe I'll continue to pay down at current rate.
With dmp end in site late 2021-I hope to bring that forward to mid 2021 next year, if possible.
Seems I'm thinking what could possible once my long lost 'Rating' returns during 2022.
Hopefully my recent six years of Nil missed or Late payments help.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -
hmmm. I have this card. Asked Vanquis about limit increase and they said ‘no limit increases to anyone because of pandemic’
Clearly a load of rubbish. I asked them can they do several different things (for example) answer to everything was ‘no because of pandemic’ Right. I asked can I close my account then as the credit limit doesn’t suit my needs? Yes, if you want to was the answer!I get paid on Friday and card is getting cleared and closed. Also the Customer Service representative might not have been aware that they are now allowing credit limit increases to eligible customers. It maybe wise to keep your card at the moment especially as other providers are being more strict with lending.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. I had that line too, I was on the phone to them about something and slipped it in when they did the whole "Is there anything else I can help you with?", got that same response. This was back in April or May though, so maybe they are starting to roll out increases, I've seen other posts about people having their Vanquis account closed / limit reduced so perhaps they've had a lockdown audit or something and freed up some capital.Mrs_Ryan said:‘no limit increases to anyone because of pandemic’1 -
Vanquis have an SMS based customer service - I recently did a round of card increase requests - got a raise out of Barclaycard and Amazon (Newday) - but not out of Vanquis. When I asked for the increase - they gave me the bog standard reply of 'you're not eligible' and to check my CRA files. I then mentioned that my account was paid in full each month by direct debit, and has been from account opening three years ago, as are all of my credit cards, and that my utilisation was low at around ten percent of total available credit (even though always paid in full) and they acknowledged the account was in good order but still was a 'no' from them. Didn't bother me as the limit is already reasonable - but still want it to be higher.

I’ve got two other cards with better limits (double what I’ve got with Vanquis) so don’t really need it. I’ve had so many problems with them (including them refusing to change my name as they said they didn’t recognise civil partnerships as it’s ‘just living together’ - yes really- I had to take that one quite high) and I said to them that time I really wanted to close my account they gave me the whole ‘oh please don’t, you’re a good customer’ blah blah.dr_adidas01 said:Mrs_Ryan said:hmmm. Quite a few replys.
I think this is my second Vanquis Chrome rise, though re payments rise very fast if I exceed 2K approx.
I gave up full time hours some time ago, and have been getting stricter on spending.
Thanks every reply's I guess most of which are from much better Ratings.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -
Off topic, Vanquis are possibly calling me this week if they can make 9.9% Balanced Transfer offer 6 months.
Which had expired, before I had known off it.
This could be a serious path to reducing Tesco Card Balance, though after 6 months Chrome card aPR is 2-3% Higher, it wouldn't cost too much as I plan to continue clearing this order 20 months.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge.
