I have used them for scrubbing bath and sink.

Oh my goodness. Woke up this morning with such sore legs. Still, bravely went out and had another walk. Two miles but better then nothing.
Still not an NSD as we bought some big baking potatoes for tomorrow and cream cheese to make the mackerel pate. Just the way things are going, I guess. Small spend days rather than no spend days. But we did get some freezer lurkers out for lunch and I disposed of some cardboard boxes into the recycling.
Did all my daily chores but not much more. Must try a bit harder tomorrow. But on a positive note no sweets, chocolate or cake and I'm now getting daily emails from an elderly relative (even more elderly than me!) who lives on his own with no family. He lives in a very nice retirement complex but a lot of his neighbours have gone to live with family because they are in their late 80's early 90's. Lovely man who was married to my late cousin. Too far away for us to visit a the moment. Himself and I had planned to book into a hotel near him for a couple of days this autumn but no chance of that now. Still, we'll see how things go.
Oh, Calling, I envy your hair appointment but I'm not brave enough yet. I did notice that a new salon has opened on our very tiny local row of shops. I'm toying with the idea of phoning and asking what they can do. Again it would be supporting a new local business. Problem is you have to wear a mask in hairdressers and I really can't quite manage it for the length of time required. I think I probably am exempt but I don't want anyone else to feel unsafe or uncomfortable because I can't manage it. Anybody suggest a solution.
So, we're having a chow mein for dinner. Never done it before and it's using up lots of bits that we already have. Let you know how it works out.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
Has been a spending day as lockdown here in Manchester could happen again. At least the freezer is well stocked now for a month or more and lve stocked up on the essential toilet paper 🧻😂. Hate shopping at the best of times so don’t want to participate in the lunacy that happen last time.

Evening all, second NSD here. Busy at work all day, did two home visits with a trip to the office in between. Being lazy and having ready meal curries for dinner, they were best by today so thought it would be prudent to eat them. Not much else to report. Bit worried about the prospect of another lockdown (shouldn't read the news before bed!).
Grateful for seeing a couple of colleagues today, and some of the kids I work with.4 -
@Toni'sfriend what about asking them for their very first or very last appointment? That way you will see the fewest possible people, or ask if they could do a home visit for the 'compromised'?To hear the news you would think Manchester was the first place to be locked down. We have been in it for over a month it over here in Leicester. The food shortages are over now that the supply chains are back up and running. So try not to worry too much. You just have to like the people you are living with, or your support bubble if you live alone. Even under lockdown they won't burst your bubble! You are still allowed out for exercise each day, unless you are shielding, even if you are over 70. So try not to fret and just make sure you have an extra pint of milk in and a loaf in the freezer, and a good book to read. You will get through this. It is the uncertainty that does you in.Gratitudes: quick easy shopping trip/ a very cheap week / having a plan / getting the mortgage under £91k (by one penny).4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

My 'try it' for today was stand up paddleboarding. I loved it! However, I did need to be 'rescued' by a boaty man - I'd drifted too far out, fallen off, and couldn't get back on (pesky ankles...) and was swimming back pushing the board. I am sooo grateful to him, as I'd probably still be swimming towards the shore even now! After that, I stayed much nearer the shore...Today I am grateful for my rescuer, for SUP, for my lovely cousin who took us there, for finding a fantastic restaurant for lunch that did gluten-free very well and didn't mind dd eating her own food and was also part of the up-to-£10-off-per-person scheme, for the absolutely wonderful weather we are having here.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!6

Anybody suggest a solution. My daughter went to her hairdressers and she didn't need to wear a mask, as the hairdressers were wearing visors. Not compulsory here in Wales for shops however still. Great idea, try for first or last appointment. Failing that home visit - my hairdresser used to cut my hair in my garden. I got a suntan at the same time.;-)Today will spend after having rubbish tea last night, chicken dippers with new pots and veg. Forgot to defrost anything, maddening as gorgeous cottage pie smell from next door. Hopefully pie day, lovely lady in deli has kept me one ? Not diet item but nice treat.Ate junk last night, crunchies eek. I have hidden them from myself this morning, with my memory probably wont find them!Apple - brave on the paddleboarding. I lack upper body strength needed to get back on if I fell off.I try targets gutted thought I would have done 70k steps last week but no 66.5K. I am not pushing myself enough.Did gardening last night so got no excuse tonight not to get some exercise in. I keep finding house jobs to do rather than get out and do something.Another lockdown hopefully not, however rates are rising in Wales now. Swamped with visitors as well with no one flying abroad.Grateful forGarden looks wow this morning after my hard workDrying up here my washing may dry I left outHelpful person at Amazonee cancelling whatever I clicked on, not paying for music, already have prime ones. Sneaky their website so easy to click on wrong button.
