More hugs coming your way, Round.
Glad you enjoyed your break, ASB. Happy birthday to your DD 🎂
I am also volunteering myself for a position on the Board of the WAC. Also in a position to offer Wandering Willi a short break whenever she feels like packing her knapsack and heading south-westwards. There is plenty here to keep her occupied for her summer break.I spent a couple of uninspired hours at the allotment this morning, and came home ratty, aching and hot. I have tidied up the tomatoes in the gh, removed the diseased ones, and generally primped and preened a bit in there.DH is off to a SD bbq this afternoon - strangely enough, the female partners have all declined. I think that he is having second thoughts about it now as well. At least it isn’t too far to go if he wants to make an escape.Plan for this afternoon: sort out the fridge (which leads to sorting out the freezer as I have to freeze some of what is taking up all the fridge space. Freezer Tetris looms), and HHI, maybe x2.
I also seem to have forgotten to do any washing today.7 -

Rosie has had her jabs and pedicure. Afterwards we went for a walk up the big hill, and we did a detour on the way home to deliver my boss's birthday card (60 today) and the New Home card. Some progress, then7 -

Hi all
Visit to hospital for DSs scan yesterday, sat in DSs car for about 4 hours altogether in blistering heat (no aircon) and then had to sit in a very hot and stuffy hospital waiting area wearing a mask for 2 hours. Traffic was awful coming home, but its done. Now we wait a week for the results.
Been restless and miserable today, not sure why really, especially as DS2 and GF are home for a visit. DH has been watching sport since he came home from work at lunchtime. I did some work stuff this morning then have been pottering about, has felt like a bit of a wasted day really.
Definitely going to go out somewhere tomorrow. I was in the WAC this morning at 4.30am so hopefully I will sleep tonight.8 -
YL.. everything crossed for DS results.. Has he given any insight into his being withdrawn?
DD1 and smalls have been here today.. we have much concern about the grandpink.. she has been very low and desperately needs company. She said she has loved being here and wants to stay here because her heart was sunny being here and the gloomy was gone. DD1 said she hasn't seen her sparkle for weeks until today. She has also been saying her tummy hurts and going to the toilet a lot more and isn't very pleasant when she does.. I think it sounds like a food intolerance or colitis or coeliac.. I asked DD1 to get her to the dr to be checked asap because she looks thinner and tired and lack-lustre.. she is usually full of beans and sparkly and sassy. I sent her home with 7 boxes of cereal, 4 packets of biscuits, 3 tins of kidney beans and 4 extremely tired children!
No packing done today either so I have it all to do tomorrow!Back to my knitting.. I want to get this cardy finished so I can take new projects on holiday.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)6 -
roundtuit said:Narc0 - Weekend Willi has a twin: Wandering Willi - I wonder if that's who came to visit you last weekend as they do look alike and Weekend Willi is not known for random excursions. If Wandering Willi enjoyed herself last weekend she'll be back for more I'm sure.
Hot again today; not as hot as yesterday but still hot. After the combination of too hot to sleep and getting engrossed in a good book which I finished about 3am, I wasn't best pleased to have the morning greet me with combine harvesters in the field behind our house. Frantic closing of windows and gulping down antihistamines as the dust whirled round.
Walked up to village shop for the newspaper. Had a look at the birthday cards as Mr N's is on Monday - terrible selection, wouldn't pick one for my worst enemy so I'll have to cobble something on the computer or dig out one from the 'card drawer' which of course he will have seen.
Spent a lot of time planning the next few days staying with my mum, dare we risk a restaurant? how can I persuade mum not to rush around buying food and being a model hostess but exhausting herself in the process? Made a list of potential pubs, restaurants, takeaways in her area and had a few discussions.
Lots of weeding when harvest dust had died down.
Ionofan my late sowing of French beans are sprouting!. Sowed a few more carrots and radishes.
Went for an evening NotParkRun; still a bit hot in places but a nice breeze in others. Saw a hare which ran considerably faster than me.
One load through DW.
Sorry nothing much else.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Morning all. Today I must s&s bathrooms and scrub kitchen sink as a minimum. We are also going food shopping, my first time in five months at least.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Morning all
bathrooms are on my list today too as I didn’t get to them yesterday! I had a lazy afternoon in the end as it was too warm and sticky to carry on. Neighbours children had a tent in the garden last night, didn’t sound like there was much sleeping going on! DH snoozed through it all, I’ve been awake several times and am not feeling my perkiest this morning!
Right then, cuppa and brekkie and then see what I can crack on with...
Have a good day all, take care xx7 -
