Well 1st workmen turned up at 9.30am worked / finished by 11am and cleared up, not to my standard but good enough.2nd lot of workmen rocked up at 1.30pm! with I've been finishing a job didn't any one call you? no they didn't, but you are here now, so he is cracking on, says he is coming all weekend and Monday as well.Been sorting out workers / stuff / materials/ shocks for my car etc for early next week, all is on plan / paid for / all must stick to the plan.My cat is seems is in next doors garden under their toms plants! lady next door came to tell me in case I was missing him, it is so hot here about 34 or so I think, as long as he is in the shade I'm not bothered and neither is the NN, so I have left it at that, but told her if she wants me to remove him I will, so she promptly went to get an old contain of cold water with ice cubes in it for him!!Curtain on sunny side of house, closed, but windows open.I have an ebay sale, it needs posting, I'm not walking in this heat to the local town, so it can wait until early tomorrow once workers are here.Out side the front of the house is starting to look like steptoe's yard! but skip is on its way next week. (yes I have tried fb/ freecycle / ebay to get rid of it all)Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Good afternoon!
Paid stuff today. Dog was walked early so he didn't overheat.
I took the little man for a walk to the park a bit later, as the course I am doing is about using nature in the early years. I think we need more practice! Although he did find a pine cone and a feather
DW has been emptied, and dinner is on - chilli from the freezer. DH has commented that only we would have chilli on the hottest day of the year!I won't do much else as I am too hot!

Admiration to all those who have done anything. It's been 33 degrees since I turned my phone on at about 8.30am. I don't do heat.
Watered greenhouse morning and evening.
Swept kitchen floor.
Had long chat with my Mum, who we still hope to visit next week, regarding hugs, eating out etc. Similar discussion with BIL.
Had Zoom meeting with friend and fellow assessor.
Admit to being total sloth; Mr N and I have spent most of the day reading on the sofa.
Contemplated going for a run at 7pm but it started raining although still hot. Thunderstorm warnings issued. May not bother.
Oh well, maybe I'll have a spurt of energy later.....or maybe Weekend Willi has a sister.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Watered the wilting veggies. Not half an hour later the skies went black and we had a storm, rain lashed down.

I finally conquered my fear of the EeeByGum app and managed to list the cow. Atthe latest count 8 people have seen it and 2 have it on their Watch list. I have found 2 more items to sell.
Corrr! Ennit 'ot! By 5.30 pm the outdoor sensor - in the shade - was registering 34 degrees whilst in the kitchen it was a mere 28 degrees. In the next hour it cooled down considerably, so I took Rosie out late.
I had started the day well with not 3 but 5 loads of washing (all dry and FUPA or back on my bed), then I got waylaid by a church-related phonecall which led to me having to research some Covid guidelines and send a long email . However, I did manage to call my little goddaughter's family before lunch - all in their local park, in the shade - and wave to her. I spent a happy hour this afternoon with my young friend and her 2 children in their suntrap garden, and after Rosie's walk this evening I watered all my garden thoroughly, including invigorator on those plants with mildew. I'll try to finish off my list tomorrow, but it's unlikely that I'll manage it all - never mind.
(((Hugs))) and high fives all round, as appropriate xx7 -
My mothers birthday.. couldnt go out for dinner as no one competent to watch the small people so we went to the pub later.. 6 vodkas in under an hour is not a good plan.. it gave me the munchies when I got home so I had a banana and packet of crisps and an apple..I really need to crack on with the packing for next week but the cold has required medication which has rendered me useless.. got a bit of knitting done though. The kitchen is also under control.. and I heard thunder and legged it outside and brought in the dry washing.. just as the heavens opened I got the last bits in.Off to wash off my slap, clear my bed and fall in it..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7

Morning xx
Still aiming for CEO post at WAC clubWho needs sleep anyway? (ME!!!!) Too hot to get to sleep, then awake for ages around 3am, then must have dropped off and a buzzing noise woke me up at 5am ; I thought it was an alarm vibrating next door - whatever it was, it was still buzzing two hours later. Or I stopped hearing it as outside sounds picked up? Then I dreamed (long story short) that I was trying to get to a circus on the sea front and found myself in a spooky carpet warehouse instead.
I haven't bothered with a tea bag in my brew this morning. I'm drinking hot water - can't tell the differenceFor tea I cooked fish and chips in the oven, added salt, vinegar and ketchup for dipping chips: it looked delicious, it smelled delicious - and I couldn't taste a thing. S at work (who tested + for c19 antibodies) hasn't been able to taste or smell a thing for four months now - so I'm preparing for a long haul.
Swab day today - it would be helluva coincidence for me to completely lose my sense of taste because of some other cause at this point in time, but I still think my results will be negative as they have missed the 'optimum' time for testing...then I saw an advert on tv last night saying how fast testing is available and important. Someone needs to tell our lot!
Sorry to mither on - I'm a bit antsy. ....got to drive through Mr M roundabout in town on a Saturday lunch with an appointment time to keep at the other side. Note to self: priorities???
Narc0 - Weekend Willi has a twin: Wandering Willi - I wonder if that's who came to visit you last weekend as they do look alike and Weekend Willi is not known for random excursions. If Wandering Willi enjoyed herself last weekend she'll be back for more I'm sure.
I've made my bed and sloshed bleach down the loo.
Round 1 =

Have a good day.
