Revenge on gazunderer

@Doozergirl I agree.
This thread has really made we worry what could be going on amongst the rest of MY chain. The decisions one person makes really impacts on the rest of the people involved within that chain, many of who are probably very innocent and honest. What a shame the desire for revenge could significantly impact on the innocent vendor. You never know what position other people are in.Officially a homeowner 🥳🥳

Strange that the OP's buyer didn't ask for the property to be taken off the market when offer put in.2

OK thank you all for your advice.
I am going to proceed with this guy and having another offer from someone else will strengthen my position should he decide to play one last trick but it does look like he is going to exchange in the next day or so. I have just been caught up in anger and anguish and have come to my senses.
I forgot to mention that he is a first time buyer and that the house that I am buying looks to be a probate house, no one has been living there for a long time. My original offer on the house i'm buying was 10k over the valuation in the surveyor's report so that is probably why they were willing to drop 10k off the price. It really does need a lot of work done to it to make it habitable.
I did stand my ground with my buyer but nothing was happening, it is the estate agent that made this final agreement happen. I only put the house back on the market when he refused to buy the house at the original agreed price. He has used this lockdown to get 15k off, I was always willing to pay the full price on the house I am buying but I could not afford to after my buyer's sly move. The lockdown has been very good for him.
As for 'revenge', I would do the prawns in the curtain poles but the buyer's wife is pregnant and I don't want her gagging in that condition. I'll just take every single lightbulb, snip the bathroom chords at the bottom, remove the curtains, saw the curtain poles in half and leave them in the bin so that he sees them, switch the power off before I leave, not empty the bins and not tidy up, I'll also tell the neighbours that he can't be trusted.
You have no idea of the kind of anguish this person has caused me, my wife and also the estate agent. As the agent said - he is human scum.

OP what a exactly are you complaining about. What your buyer is paying you is what your house is currently worth. If it was worth more, you would have had a higher offer by now. It’s hard not to take it personally, but the fact that you accepted the lower offer means you know this this is the true value of your house.2

I do understand your feelings of anger, I was looking for a dead badger for my cellar due to the disrespectful way my unethical gameplaying bully of a buyer treated me.
But it's wasted energy. You must focus on the positive, which is you that you are able to move onwards and upwards£216 saved 24 October 20142 -

OP, you need to focus on the work you need to do to get your new house into shape rather than fritter away your psychic energy on downgrading your buyer's house move.
Moving house is supposed to be as stressful as a bereavement, and I can't believe you need to add to it. Try to think of yourself, and don't waste a second on this chump.
