Why did you copy & paste a thread from mumsnet about a drunk colleague on a business trip (now deleted)? is this another copied dilemma to wind up MSE posters?TiaLomax754 said:It's my son's 3rd birthday in a couple of weeks. I'm taking him to an attraction.
It's free for under 3s, but adult price at 3 upwards. Money is tight, but after a tough few months between lockdown and his father moving out after our split, I want to do something nice for him.
As there is no inherent difference in what he'll get from the experience the day before his birthday and on the day of his birthday, should I lie to just buy him a 2 year old ticket?
I can't take him the day earlier due to work (I did consider this already).

What sort of place charges adult prices for over 3's?2

Although this is a fake thread, to anyone else who may have the same dilemma, what time was the child born?
If they were an 8pm birth, they aren't 3 until 8pm on their birthday.

No, you shouldn't lie. If you cannot afford to pay the price then do something else. Do you think the company owes you a day out?TiaLomax754 said:It's my son's 3rd birthday in a couple of weeks. I'm taking him to an attraction.

Ha ha, yes, it came up to me as 'new' because I hadn't read it before - then noticed that. Sorry.MalMonroe said:This is old?

This is a difficult dilemma, he is bound to be so excited about turning 3 that he won't keep it to himself, but he shouldn't have to lie. As someone else said, maybe buy the ticket online before when he is still of age? I have done it before, not going to lie. When you have 3 kids and want to do something with them and for them it can be easier to be in the grey are when they are of different ages, but I never made them lie. x0
