Thankyou @savingholmes yes that is very much the focus now, switching from the balance of MFW and pensions to rebuilding savings and starting to roll more disposable income into SIPPs and workplace pension whilst being able to treat myself and my family a little more. Being MF will allow me to do that massively. I’m glad I made that first step after finding this forum, I’m very grateful that I chipped away at it early on.3

Lovely to be on a count down. I'm hopefully on an 8 year plan to coast fire - and will potentially use part time work to cushion my income. It does rely on being able to save lots now and liberate one earlier DB pension and transfer it.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks I'm lucky to have a DB pension in my current job too - so it opens up possibilities. I'm trying very hard not to envy you in being mortgage free (or nearly).Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
