After the success of getting £990 back from WDA, the FOS emailed me this week to say that they are upholding my complaint against Uncle Buck too. Uncle Buck have the right to appeal but I doubt they will.
The next email I get from the FOS should be to let me know how much the refund is worth. My guess is about £400 but I'm often very conservative.
I still have a complaint outstanding with the FOS against QQ & P2P. And I'm still awaiting a final response from 247 money box.
Satsuma recently rejected my complaint so that will be going to the FOS as well.
So far over £3k refunded. Hopefully more to come.0 -
Nice tidy sum 3K, well done ginger.ice.:T0

All the ones that I have been paid out for so far have been 2014 onwards. my first default was Jan 2014 and pretty much all of my payday loans were taken out after this date. I did have both QQ and P2P loans from 2011 and was fairly 'loyal' to them until I defaulted with them.
I am still claiming refunds from QQ and P2P, even though my credit rating probably wasn't that bad pre-2014, as I feel the frequency and increasing amounts of loans taken out with them (and the fact that they are associated companies which allowed me to borrow at the same time) trapped me in the PDL cycle and effectively funded an increasingly dangerous gambling habit.0 -

How much did you borrow a month and what was your monthly wage at the time?
I've calculated what percentage of my wage would have gone onto a payday loan and it showed that it would have been too expensive to pay back even before I took out my expenses (like rent, utility bills etc).
I'd say it would be fair to expect that you should have at least a third of your income as 'disposable' after all the rent/bills and payday loans were taken out. That might be an avenue to explore an appeal with - even if the lie about your income was true, would it have still been affordable to pay back without taking out another loan?0 -
Another update -
247 moneybox have rejected my complaint however as a gesture of goodwill have agreed to remove the accounts from my credit file. So they have basically offered to remove any evidence of their dodgy practices, just in case I decide to complain at a later date. This will be escalated to the FOS this evening.
Elsewhere:
Still waiting to find out how much I'm due back from Uncle Buck after the FOS upheld my complaint.
Still waiting for the FOS to look into my complaint against QQ / P2P - this has been with them for quite a while now.
Still waiting for a response from PDUK and PDE.
Still need to lodge FOS complaints against Satsuma and Moneyboat.0 -
thank you for your reply, i had this from quickquid , what should i do next?
Thank you for contacting QuickQuid. The contents of your email were duly noted. We apologise if there was any delay in responding to your complaint.
Your query raised several questions on loan affordability. In order to better assist you, we ask that you fill out the below information so that we can thoroughly review and respond to your complaint.
Questionnaire
1) Recently, we have seen an increased number of complaints where the complainant has obtained a template from a website or blog. Did you use a website template? If so, can you please provide the name of the website?
2) Did you tell us that you were experiencing financial hardship? If so, when did you tell us of your financial difficulty?
3) Please provide a copy of a bank statement from the time of your loan(s).
4) Please provide a copy of a payslip from roughly the time of your loan(s).
Once we receive the information back from you, our complaint team will diligently review and assess your complaint. As you will see from our complaint procedure, we have eight weeks from the date we receive your complaint to send you our ‘Final Response’. If at that time you are still unhappy with our decision, you will have six months from the date of our 'Final Response' to refer your complaint back to the Financial Ombudsman Service for them to adjudicate in the matter on your behalf.
For more information about our complaints procedure, please visit the 'Contact Us' section of our website (https://www.quickquid.co.uk/contact-us.html).
If you have any queries, our Final Resolution Team is here to help.
Yours sincerely,
Hi Mclane,
I would go back to them with as much info as you can. I provided bank statements and a P60 as I have no idea where my wage slips are from that period (Ours weren't electronic until the year after)
I didn't respond to the template question other then to state that I was a member of several moneysaving websites and it wasn't until reading posts from other people that i realised I had too been a victim of unaffordable lending practices. Personally when it came to contacting them regarding being in financial difficulty I didn't as I was afraid that if they refused me further credit I would be unable to afford my rent etc and I was living in a state of consistent rollovers at the time. I think you need to explain the situation as clearly as you can and how it affected you. Don't be alarmed by the email btw - It seems to be a standard response from QQ at present so I would supply as much info as you are able to do and ask them for a prompt response in return. Feel free to reply on here or PM me if you're not sure of anything.Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!? :huh:0 -
It seems that 8 weeks is up with sunny and wonga, what do I do now? Contact them again and if they don't respond in a week, take it to the FOS? Satsuma have already rejected my complaint so need to take that one to them too!0

Well Lending Stream came back very quickly with a big 'no' but seems fair enough really as they did run credit checks back in 2010 and my score was a lot better than it is now.
Lets see how we get on with the other 13 lenders!!0
