  • Hi,

I am in a DMP trough stepchange and claimed against Ferratum, Saftey Net Credit and Wageday Advance.
Ferratum wiped 1200 off what I owed them - now £400., Wageday Advance cleared what I owed them and gave me £248 back and Saftey Net Credit Wiped my balance which was £480.

    Hope that helps.
  • Hi Everyone,
I have been reading this forum for a few weeks now and decided to post, looking for a little bit of advice really.

I saw a payday reclaim pop up on my Facebook through a 3rd party, not knowing much about it and with the mountain of payday loans I have I decided to complete a form and just forgot all about it.
3 weeks ago I received an email from Sunny saying they had looked into my complaint and was awarding me just short of £6000 back and wiping my existing and removing from my credit file, I was in shock, didn’t believe it was real if I am being honest, within a week I had received my money and the loan was gone 😊
In hindsight I should have looked into this before, as I have done it through a company they wanted 36% 😭 devastated but that’s my own fault.
Anyway I started the journey of sending emails to all my other loan companies via Debt Hacker

    My Jar
    Wageday
    Piggy Bank
    Pounds to Pocket
    Uncle Buck
    Ferratum
    Lending Stream
    Wonga
    Quick Quid
    Moneyboat

As you can see I got myself into quite a situation, anyway all emails have been submitted and I am awaiting replies.

My first reply is from MyJar, this loan is still current with £900 outstanding, I have only had 1 loan with My Jar, I may have lied on the application form that it was more affordable than it actually was but I was desperate, they have come back advising they won’t uphold any of my claim. I have escalated this to the FOS, what do we think my chances are? I had numerous loans at the time, they didn’t ask for pay slips etc 🤷🏻!♀️
I aren’t even fussed about getting the interest back, ideally I’d love the loan to be gone and the mark off my credit file gone.
I have everything crossed for a positive outcome of this claims.
I am so thankful to you all for your posts and updates, it has been so helpful.
I shall keep updating what happens with my claims
    Thankssssss 😘

    UPDATE

    I have so far had refunds of;

    PiggyBank - £215
    MrLender - £247
    Egg PPI (Barclays) - £664

I am considering going to FO with MyJar and Satsuma as it seems that when probed further these companies are more inclined to provide redress.

    I am still waiting on a few getting back to me;

    247Moneybox
    WDA
    UncleBuck
    118Money
    !!!!!!!!!!!!!

In regards to Lending stream has anyone found their complaints process tricky as they've wormed their way out of Resolver.

    Thanks
  • Hello

I was looking for a bit of advice

I put in a irresponsible lending claim with WDA approx 15 weeks ago now, they came back to me when the 12 weeks were up saying they could not give me an answer etc, i assumed this was an automated email as i received every 4 weeks a similar sort of email

I had a feeling that there was something a bit suspicous and then have since found out the company have gone into administration

I have received an email which is automated from the administrators but just wondering what happens with complaints

Am i right in assuming as the company is now in administration the complaint will be closed and nothing i can do about it?

Just wondering if anyone else is waiting for a final response from WDA ?
    many thanks

Had a letter today from adjudicator about my loans with QQ from over the 6 year timescale - last one paid off in 2010. Case has been with them since 2016.

They say only one was not reasonable and now waiting to hear back from QQ. i really don't understand the table the FOS have used but least the case is moving.

  • Hi I was very happy to read this situation as I believe you were in a very similar situation to myself unfortunately I haven’t tried to claim a refund. I lent from Wong’s/quickquid/sunny/peachy/myjar and I’m sure plenty of others and have only received a small refund amount from wonga and quickquid when they went bust. My reply to this thread is basically to ask for advice on how you went about trying to reclaim the money. I was lending £400 and paying back £500/£600 and this went on constantly when I was 18(I am now 29). Please give any advice you can step by step guide if possible and wether it cost you anything x:D
  • Have you used this site before are they good ?.

I used their template letter to complain. Ferratum wrote off my existing balance, Wage Day Advance refunded all interest and my Quick Quid complaint is with ombudsmen
  • Bit of an update from me.

I complained to abou 10 different companies around the end of January. I didn’t use a template or anything, I just wrote the email myself stating I feel they may have lent to me irresponsiblly. I was stuck in the cycle of PDL from about 2012/13 until recently - and I’m convinced full checks from lenders would have seen this and not allow it to perpetuate.

Mr Lender wrote my balance off, I was happy with this - I’m saving 75pm and it’s helped break the cycle.

OnStride (formerly Pounds to pocket) got back a few days ago. I complained about my entire history with P2P and QQ - and they upheald my complaint, a £1300 refund and wiped my existing balance. Saving my another 75pm.

I’m still waiting on the rest - but just these two have dramatically helped and removed eased the burden of perpetual debt I’ve been stuck with for years.
