Hi, having read todays email from MSE, I noticed we can claim for mis-selling of payday loans.
Few years ago I was caught in loop of many payday loans from many companys, living month to month, new loan to pay another.
I am now debt free, im proud to say! All fully paid off.
I've had a look at the free link on here to claim. Couple of questions.
Do I need to put in a new claim for each loan with the same company, or just one claim for each company. Their are about 10 companys and multiple for each.
Also my address has now changed since I had these loans. Do I add my current address or old one.
Plz help, i'm eager to be proactive and get started on this.
    Thanks
    Fiona

Hi, I've just posted couple questions regarding this.
Firstly well done for claiming back.
I was too caught in this loop.
    Multiple loans to multiple companies.
Do I need to claim for each individual loan, or just to each company.
Also my address is now different.
    I would appreciate any help
    thx

    Hi,

Have a read of the article linked below for guidance. (And explore the links within)
How to get a payday loan refund (with template letters)
I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

    Hi
Thanks for that, I have now sent email for complaint to 10 different companys.
Heard back from peachy right away. they are investigating
Lending stream the email got refused, so I logged in and sent complaint through their site.
Cheque centre is the big one for me. says the company was bought by Quickloans, so I sent complaint to them. What that right?

    thx

    Hi All,

Finally got something: Ferratum offered £200 as a "goodwiil gesture", I accepted straight away, because anyways I didn't take much from them.

Lending stream rejected any compensation, so I took it to the Ombudsman.

Also waiting from few other companies, but the 8 weeks from the initial email are about to end soon, so fingers crossed...

    Will keep you updated...

    Best regards,

    Valentin

The resolver tool to reclaim pay day loans from Lending stream falls at the first hurdle as it has an out of date email address.

    Could admin report this please.

Hi, I had that problem. I tried logging into their site and was quite surprised it worked. Was about to complain through site once logged in.

I had a ridiculous amount of Payday loans between 2008 and 2012 with a number of the lenders on the Money Saving Expert list, whilst the majority were for £100 or so a month I was upto £800 a month with The Moneyshop at one point so the interest repayments / rollover was costing me £200+ a month with them alone.

I no longer have access to the accounts as I managed to borrow the money to repay them all off from a family member so haven't used them for over 6 years so I don't know the account numbers either. Would they have to supply me that information if I contacted them? The template letter requires the account number.

Also, bank statements. I no longer have those and the bank I was with at the time has since folder so I'd not be able to obtain copies from that period.

    Thanks in advance

    Just a quick update:
Northway Financial have offered £2790 which I have accepted.
Lending Stream said 2 out of the 3 loans were affordable and have offered £134.40 as that's what I paid on the 3rd loan. I have accepted.
Quickquid basically told me my loans were all too old even though I was still paying them in 2015. Its been referred to FOS.
Wagedayadvance offered £3045.87. I have accepted.
Wonga said no - off to FOS.
MrLender initially offered £740.22, I went back to them and asked them to reconsider. They added the 8% statutory interest and have offered £866.20. I have accepted.
Uncle Buck said affordable - have sent to FOS. (awarded £498)
Payday UK offered £197.67 - I have accepted
Payday Express said the loans were affordable so I have sent it onto the FOS. (awarded £1499)

So that's all outstanding either closed or off to FOS. Thanks so much to the original posters of this site - I am so glad I stumbled upon it in February - I am now £6385.32 better off which has paid off the consolidation loan I took out to clear all of the outstanding payday loans a couple of years ago and enough to pay for a holiday this year. Awaiting the decisions from FOS but happy enough to wait.

Updates in red, awaiting QQ and Wonga but happy enough to wait and see. Thanks again to the original posters. Started this journed in February this year and now over £9k better off.
