I'm going to open a Subject Access Request to Wonga for my loan details as they are not on the online account. Does anyone know how they provide the information? Will they email me a PDF or will oit be posted out to me?0

So wonga have just offered me £454 for two out of 36 loans. The offer really isn’t good enough and I would normally just go to the ombudsman, but with their financial situation what do you think I should do?
I could get £3k back, or I could lose £400.
I have no idea what to do.
Also to make this worse, the Mrs was offered £700 today for 8 out of 54 loans.

I would take into account that they only got a £10 million bailout less than a month ago and now reports are saying they are speaking to an administrator. I would be trying to get in there quick if I'm honest with you. Even then you might be too slow...I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

If it were me i would take whatever i could get now, as Wonga`s position looks very iffy at the moment.
They are publicly lining up Grant Thornton as there administrator if they fail, i think that should tell you something.

Evening All.
Thank you to everyone for sharing their details. I've just looked through my credit report and faced up to a tough time in my life hoping I make something better of it.
Thanks again to all0 -
Thank you.
Both OH and I have taken the money. £1300 in total is better than nothing.
It could have been 6k odd, but I only have myself to blame. I should have claimed months of not years ago.
Got the email that payment will be in 14 working days, if they survive that long that is.0 -
Some of mine are from 2011, but the majority are were rolled over to 2012 onwards. It must be worth trying..?0

I remember reading your original posts Woody, and reading the replies from the guy was in the trade and scoffed at people trying to get interest back..
Can anyone advise me please - I signed up to Payday Loan Refunds this week after reading about Wonga being in trouble. I then realised that I could do it myself by sending of letters to the companies myself, so wanted to cancel Payday Loan Refunds as it was 2 days into the 14day cooling off period.
They replied this morning saying the have already started contacting companies and ‘you are only allowed to complain once to the lenders’.
Is this correct or are they saying this as they want 30% of my numerous loans from 7 different payday loan companies?
Any help is appreciated guys..0
