    WageDayAdvance have made their offer.

£1400+, it's above the amount that I had in mind to accept so I've done just that and they've advised 3-5 days for the money to be in my account (slightly better than Wonga's 14 working days!).

Have to say that WDA have been by far the most helpful and communicative throughout the whole process. They were the first to respond to my initial request, have regularly kept me updated throughout and habe been very quick to reply to any queries. Their final offer letter addresses every point I raised in detail and is a million times more comprehensive than Sunny's.

So that's Wongas and WageDayAdvances offers accepted and Sunny off to the ombudsman (I sent Sunny an Email yesterday saying I didn't think they had addressed any of the concerns I had raised in my initial complaint and also requesting my lending history (3rd time) but they haven't even had the courtesy to acknowledge it.

Their attitude stinks and is making me even more determined to take them all the way with the ombudsman.

If you don't think it's acceptable then your only way forward is the ombudsman which can be a long haul from what I've heard/read.

    Good luck whatever you decide!

Just checked my bank account and Wonga have paid out - I accepted the offer on Monday evening so they've paid out pretty quickly considering they said 14 working days

Had an 'interesting' conversation with Sunny this afternoon. I've asked them to reconsider their final response as the one they've issued totally ignored my 2nd email to them - basically they have just issued a standard response to my first email (the standard DC one - I'm making a complaint and can I have details of my loans) and not even read my second email (the one giving all of the details of my complaint!). They said they'll pass it to someone to see if they can reconsider....not hopeful but I've made them fully aware were going FOS so the balls in their court
  • There really is some stuck up members on this forum. If you dont like the ops advice why post? In fact if you dont take out things you cant afford why you even in this section?

6 years ago i was broke at x-mas, within minutes had couple grand in my account. It's not that hard. Cancel your card and get a replacement. Iv never had pay one these loan sharks back.
  • shauniebabe, myjar is usually open to the negotiations. I rejected their first final response with no offer whatsoever, explaining that in the time I borrowed fro them I had a number of other payday loans, they send me the second one for just one loan's interest, and then third one which I accepted. Worth a try to write them back.
  • I've also received an offer from Peachy for the interest on loans ~1&2 with them which amount to £66.67, I have counter offered loans 2,3 & 4 interest which amounts £280.67 so I will see what they come back with ;)
Morning all, just a little update. I have just checked my online banking this morning and Peachy have refunded me £115.77 into my bank, I pressed for the £280.67 but settled for loans #1 to 3# to save getting the FOS involved. Keep on if you have all your facts it's definitely worth doing :-)

So...Sunny have come back to me stating that all of my complaint has been reviewed but it isn't their policy to address the individual points I raised?

They have also now decided to provide me with details of my loans (requested 4 times since August and up until now, ignored). They have also now agreed to cease collection activity - another request that Ive made several times since August that they've totally ignored up til now.

I've replied to them saying we're off to the FOS and part of my complaint will be about how difficult they've made complaining - ie. Not providing anything until after theyve issued their final response - as far as I'm concerned this has been 100% intentional on their part to make complaining as awkward as possible.

By far the worst of the 3 companies I've dealt with
  • I submitted complaints to Wonga and QQ around 7 weeks ago. Wonga emailed me 4 weeks after I sent my complaint advising the investigation may take longer than 8 weeks. QQ emailed me just over 5 weeks in requesting bank statements and pay slips.

Has anybody else experienced the same as me so far? If so, what was the outcome?
  • HI,

Just my opinion, but even if it was found to be irresponsible, you cant just have free money. The charges and interest should be wiped (£118) but as they have given you £100 and you have given them nothing back, then surely you still owe at least £100?

I had a request for payslips and bank statements from QQ. Told them I didn't have them, they replied saying without them they can't investigate fully but will still continue with my complaint. Still waiting!
