    Hi All,

Started this process in July, so just popping a timeline on here as may be useful for folks who started a few weeks after me.

Ferratum: raised on 26th July. Final response on 7th Sept. Rejected claim offered £150 good will but refused to alter my credit file. Sent to FOS on 16th Sept. (they have since removed the goodwill gesture)

Wage Day Advance: raised on 26th July. Final response through the post on 15th Sept. Agreed liability on 2 of 8 loans (loans 3 and 8 weirdly) and offered refund of £339.15 but no alteration to credit file. Referred to FOS on 18th Sept

247Moneybox: raised on 26th july. on 20th sept I had a 3 line response back from then (after chasing them with 21 emails and about 10 calls as I did not even have acknowledgement of the complaint) they say they have done nothing wrong, but are prepared to offer £100 good will and removal of negative impact on creditfile. I have written back to them giving 24 hours to agree to all entries removed from my file and a good will of £200 or I will persue with the FOS (Case already raised and allocated a ref number, they are waiting on me to give them the nod) THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST I HAVE DEALT WITH

Fancy a payday (response funding): Just asked on the 28th July could they remove my credit file entries to which they agreed by the first week of august. Only 2 loans and my file is more important to me than any refund.

Payday UK; Raised on 26th July. Final response on 15th Sept rejecting claim. Raised with FOS on 16th Sept

Mr Lender: within a week offered back half interest paid and removal of negative entries on credit file. Accepted

Lending Stream: Raised on 26th July. wholly rejected on 18th August, raised to FOS on 31st August

CapFin (E-cash window/early pay day) raised on 26th July, rejected on 05/09, raised to FOS on 06/09

Payday Express: raised on 26/07, response on 05/09. This is a funny one. 4 rejected, 2 unable to determine and 3 upheld. offered a refund of £586.44 but no update to credit file, which is the critical part. Sent to FOS on 06/09

QuickQuid, sent on July 28th and final response due tomorrow 22nd Sept. (not holding my breath given others stories)

Wonga: raised on 17th Aug, awaiting response due on Oct 12th.

Trusted Quid: Just asked on the 28th July could they remove my credit file entries to which they agreed by the first week of august. Only 1 loansand my file is more important to me than any refund.

MoneyBoat: Just asked on the 20th Sept could they remove my credit file entries and response due by Oct 26th. Only 1 loans and my file is more important to me than any refund.

Uncle Buck raised on Sept 20th and awaiting response by Nov 15th.

I will keep this thread up to date in the hope that it helps others understand the current timeline.
Another point to note is since I started this process in July, my credit score has increased on exquifax from a horrendous 534 to a not so bad 746, so for me, without the refunds this has already been worth while.

Does anyone have any advise on how to deal with the following please?

CashBob (I believe gone into liquidation)
PoundAccess (I believe gone into liquidation)
SpeedyDosh (I believe gone into liquidation)
SwiftSterling (I believe based in Malta)

Hope this was helpful and will keep you posted with the outstanding complaints and FOS progress!

Can someone tell me if they had any luck with PDUK and paydayexpress? They seem right scheming !!!!!!!s. Asked for statement of account, they refused, wrote formal complaint based on evidence I had, they replied they'd investigate. 8 weeks have passed and they emailed saying they haven't finished their investigation. Replied asking for statement of account so I can make formal FOS complaint, again they refused. Will the FOS still investigate on what evidence I have? Basically some emails stating loan amounts and that I am requesting to extend them etc, as well as credit report. However I know it's not the full details of all loans. Thanks

    Hi,
PDUK refused wholly to uphold the complaint, however, PDE refused 4 loans, were unable to determine on 2 and found in my favour on 3. Both sent me an SAR after my final response when I called, and both have now been sent to the FOS (Last week) to see what they say.

The FOS will ask the companies to provide a case file on you which will include the statement of accounts if they require to see it. They are not bound to send it, however, if they don't, the FOS will rule on what they have.

I had the same problem with both, the FOS will investigate and pduk and pde will send the statements to the FOS, the FOS will come to a decision based on that, and probably ask for your bank statements.
FOS found in my favour about 3 weeks ago, still no refund, these 2 companies are just trying to be awkward imo

How long did the FOS take with you please?

I have received a reply from both Wonga and Lending Stream and both are not willing to budge, so would really appreciate advice.

LENDING STREAM have said that according to information given the loan seems affordable.

WONGA have said they do not investigate loans that are over 6 years old.

Are these correct? Or shall I go to the Financial Ombudsman?

    Thanks

I had the same response from Lending Stream, and still awaiting one from Wonga. I have sent my Lending Stream complaint (and many others) to the FOS, would suggest you do the same if you feel like you have a case.

Finally received my Wonga refund yesterday and today I wake up to Piggybank agreeing to write off the majority of my current balance with them. Good start to the day, never give up folks!

    Great!

    Well done you!
I've just received an expected rejection from QQ so have written to them offering to show them the error of their ways and raised a case with the FOS

QQ have responded to the adjudicator, obviously they couldn't just agree and get on with it so they rejected the decision on 2 of the loans. Luckily the 2 they rejected totalled £70 out of a grand total of nearly 1.5k so I have just accepted to save another 6+ months of waiting for an ombudsman to look at it.

Just waiting on the money to hit my bank and then I am done and it will be time to move on and look at some PPI refunds

Hi all. Mine has been with the FOS for ages. Has anyone heard/had any luck with ones from QQ over 6 years old?
    Go get it!

Hi all, this is my first post so please excuse me if it's in a slightly wrong place. It is regarding refunds on old loans and what i should do about Quick Quid. But i'll set the scene first.

I recently got a letter from Moriarty Law who said they were looking for "Antony Ed" and if he lived at this address they wanted to contact him regarding a personal issue. I looked them up and found out they purchase old debts and seem to specialise in pay day loans. I'm moving house next week so they're likely going to have to put some effort to find me again!

Now this debt is super old, but i don't know how old. I have changed banks about 5 years ago and asking for statements from the account isn't viable (long story) so i can't find out that way. If i try and login to QQ will that flag me up and potentially ruin a debt that is likely statute barred?

Now the debt is likely over 6 years old, i'm 95% sure of this. If i emailed Quick Quid asking for a breakdown of my loans with them (and thus contact Moriarty Law asking them to back off as the account is in dispute) will this ruin the statute barring and make the debt enforceable again? I feel it's a cache 22.

Just to add; there are no CCJ's in my name.

So i'm wondering, is my best bet to contact QQ (bearing in mind it's likely over 6 years old) or contact Moriarty saying that the debt is statute barred and they can't enforce it? I have moved plenty of times but haven't contacted QQ at all in this time, i didn't even notify them of moves so i hope that doesn't dash my hopes of the statute barring of the debt.

Sorry i'm ranting, it's just put me in a dark place as i haven't had any contact or problems with debts for years and suddenly this has popped up and taking me back to a time i hated in life.

I agreed to not pursue the 2 loans I had that were over 6 years old just in order to get the ball rolling on them actually investigating the rest. I was lucky in that my biggest loans were all within the 6 years so I could forget the smaller ones that were over 6 years old,

Just a quick update. QQ have responded and point blank refused to admit any liability. 247 haven't replied (no surprise there)

All of my outstanding cases are now with the FOS with case files requested with the exception of QQ which is still working its way through the FOS inbox.

The FOS have advised that its around 4 - 6 weeks for an adjudicator to be allocated, and about 4 weeks after that for an initial findings report.

    Will keep you all posted
