Small update:
After a fair few weeks, and sending off a postal order to PAYDAYUK I have just received a reply.
It's only £8.46, i have emailed back and asked if that's the lowest they're going to offer me before i accept it. But i can't complain with the £447.22 being wiped off. Also, removing the credit file complaint in place.
They've stated:PaydayUK
PaydayUK is willing to offer a balance reduction of £447.22 which will settle your account, a restitution payment of £8.46 and remove the final loan deferral from your credit file in full and final settlement of your complaint. This offer represents the contractual interest and default interest and charge added to your account for the final loan deferral taken plus an additional gesture of goodwill payment. If you wish to accept this offer please can you complete and return the enclosed settlement form within fourteen days of the date of this letter.Debt Free (08/05/2017)
QQ declined my offer, FOS now said QQ has offered £538
WONGA result from FOS in a few days.0 -
I submitted complaints into Wonga, Wage Day Advance, PDUK (being the most unhelpful!) around 5 weeks ago. WDA came back to me Friday with my statements and the very next day with their final response which was a complete no. I have had 24 loans with them from 2007-2014.
I have now passed this case onto the Ombudsman.
Has anyone had any successful reimbursements after having a straight no from the pay day company?0 -
I complained to CFO Lending last year and they wrote most of the interest off that I owed. I received the following email last week so looks like I could be due something back. Fingers crossed.
CFO Lending Ltd has agreed with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) that it will provide redress to customers who were affected by historical practices.
As a consequence affected customers would either have the amount they owe to CFO Lending Ltd reduced or written off. Alternatively, and where appropriate, customers will receive a direct payment where their loan account is settled and they have been affected by historical conduct resulting in a poor outcome.
CFO Lending would like to inform you that you are a customer that has been affected by unfair practices and you are due a payment. We will contact you in due course to inform you of the areas you have been affected by and how much you are owed.
There is no need to contact us. CFO Lending will advise the method for claiming any redress applicable to your case.0 -
Hi,
Like most people on this thread I was stuck in the payday loan cycle.
Over the course of the weekend I have taken time to read over this thread for tips on how to go about reclaiming interest and penalties put onto payday loans.
I have emailed each company I have had a loan with for a statement of account yesterday to get the ball rolling. To help with this I have went through my bank statements from 2011-2015 when the loans were taken to give me a rough summary of what to (hopefully) expect.
I would just like to that everyone for the advice on this thread and fingers crossed get something back.
I will put updates on when I receive them.
I contacted Wonga, Payday UK, QuickQuid, PoundstoPocket, Uncle Buck, 247 Moneybox, WageDayAdvance, CFO Lending, Peachy & Ferratum.
Each loan with the above companies were rolled over more than once with new, higher loans being taken out as soon as they were paid also.
Wish me luck!!0 -
Good Luck! Let us know how you get on.0

Need a little advice.
Back in November I had a default on my Noddle report from a QQ loan. I know it was defiantly there as I tried to have a NOC added which failed.
Checked today and the default has gone! I have a print out from January and that doesn't show it either. So it disappeared some time between Nov - Jan. The loan is still there and showing as settled. To confuse matters further this was passed to PRA group who I paid in full. They still have a default registered against me on my Equifax report.
I'm currently in the middle of an ombudsman complaint with QQ but the last I heard about that QQ were arguing the toss about loans over 6 years old so i don't really see why they would of removed it mid complaint.
So 3 questions.
Has anyone had any experience of this happening before?
Is there a way to see historic noddle / call credit reports? (I'm sure it was there as I raised the complaint but part of me thinks im losing the plot.)
Where would I stand in getting PRA to remove their default now the original one has gone? I'm pretty sure I arranged a payment plan with them straight away and it was all paid in full and on time etc.
I'm over the moon with this as now 2 out of 3 credit reports are default-less so if I could get Equifax clear it would be amazing.0 -
Yes ive joined here for only one purpose.
Can anyone guide me on what to do?
I started taking payday loans out a good 4 years ago. Currently i have upto 8/9 PDL, same with the past.
I don't have all the emails from when they approved my loans.
My bank statements will show I have been using them to gamble or to pay off other loans.
Twice I have cleared all the PDL from family which caused a lot of stress.
They have still been lending to me all this time, right now I am struggling to pay off again as the loans were unaffordable and kept reloaning.
Shall I write to them to stop all future payments and to file a complaint as per guide from debtcamel?
Any help would be much appreciated.
THanks

Morning!
Just had my first success even though I only complained over a week ago.
I had 1 loan with peachy, £150 loan rolled over and eventually £290 paid back.
This morning they have offered me £140 interest plus £75 goodwill and the entry removed from my credit file.
Accepted the offer and the money should be in my bank in the next hour.
This is the smallest loan I had taken out to pay off another loan at the time.
Thanks everyone and ill post when I hear back from the larger loans I had taken out!!0 -

Many people who have been contacted by CFO have been told they will receive £40 odd pounds from the redress scheme. If you believe your loans were unafordable you really should be making a complaint to them about that unless your acceptance of their write precludes you making future claims against them. Although even where they have upheld complaints and agreed to pay people by a certain date those dates have come and gone with no payment having been received and no word from CFO as to when they will be paid. It's not looking good.0 -

I rang PRA.
They said as I have already raised a complaint with them they have been in touch with QQ and are awaiting a response from them. I asked how long they wait for a response and they said they will wait indefinitely :rotfl: so i guess i wait for either the QQ complaint to progress with the ombudsman or wait for the 8 weeks to pass on the PRA complaint and start the whole process again with them.
In better news, Ombudsman has ruled on my PDUK complaint today.
Refunds on 10/15 loans
Happy with that. Anybody have any idea of PDUK's response to things like this? Do they normally accept the ruling or drag it out?
Just the QQ complaint and PRA default to sort out now.0
