So do I now just send my complaint to the ombudsman?

Well you can, but they will just review the same information, and the chances are, they will reach the same conclusion.

  • Should hopefully be hearing from QuickQuid this week

I sent an email to PoundsToPocket, but am yet to get even a notification of them getting it, can some clarify the correct email address to use.

Finally, has anyone tried getting anything back from Quid? Another company who have ignored my email.
  • How long are QQ usually taking to provide their findings one you've submitted a complaint?

Payday Express have rejected my complaint, but have offered a restitution payment of £795 to settle with no liability on their part. I'll post their response later this evening when I have some time.
  • There have been many people now claiming refunds on payday loans, in a similar way that ppi has been reclaimed. I came across a very good website debtcamel which says don't be trying if you have been or are bankrupt, it will just go to the official receiver. In my opinion, fair enough if you are CURRENTLY BANKRUPT, but ive been discharged for nearly 4 years now, so what right would the official receiver have to do with any payday loan refund or even ppi that i want to claim now that ive been discharged for several years??? Is it still worth trying??

Why all the negativity.....most of these companies have been screwing people for many years, its only over the last few months they have been told to clean up there act.
When I made the complaints I never asked for a set amount of money back, they set the amount they deemed fair, and if they were not guilty of irresponsible lending and massively unfair charges why would they apologies and compensate people.........many thousands of people have been put in a massive financial strain because of payday loans.......yes we borrowed but sometimes there is no other way....if this post convinces one person am more than happy with that.

That attitude of some of the folk who post on these boards is amazing. Even after these companies have held their hands up and admitted their wrongdoing people are still blaming the victims
The FCA found that CFO Lending had treated its customers unfairly, the unfair practices included:

The firm’s systems not showing the correct loan balances for customers, so that some customers ended up repaying more money than they owed
Misusing customers’ banking information to take payments without permission
Making excessive use of continuous payment authorities (CPAs) to collect outstanding balances from customers. In many cases, the firm did so where it had reason to believe or suspect that the customer was in financial difficulty
Failing to treat customers in financial difficulties with due forbearance, including refusing reasonable repayment plans suggested by customers and their advisers
Sending threatening and misleading letters, texts and emails to customers
Routinely reporting inaccurate information about customers to credit reference agencies
Failing to assess the affordability of guarantor loans for customers

Hi All - can someone offer any adise pls -

i ahve an ongoing complaint with Peachy and have sent my complaint to the FOS, the adjudicator has just replied and is upholding the complaint - well only some of it - also i dont really agree with what she is asking Peachy to do to put it right cani dispute it?

    - i had 7 loans from peachy but she is only upholding from the fifth loan onwards, peachy have came back saying their checks on me from the 1st loan showed no adverse information, which is completely wrong as i had defaults, late payments on my report for a year before the first loan was taken out. they have my credit report also?

shes also advised peachy to put things right by -
    - the interest and charges to be refunded
    what i ask is -
if peachy agree to this will they refund the loan payment i paid back aswell as interest i occurred, also the outstanding balance i have at present will this get written off? surely if it is deemed and agreed the loans shouldn't of been lent to me i should i get these refunded/written off?

anyone been in the situation where they don't really agree with what the adjudicator is asking/advising and can i challenge it?
  • QQ eight week deadline is tomorrow. Still not heard anything back. Have most people found that they don't reply in that deadline, or do they usually wait till the last possible moment?
