Well further to my previous posts confirming that QQ are total numpties whereby they claim I could afford the loans, didn't show dependency on them and that I wasn't in hardship. I have just taken a closer look at my statements, which show.

I took my first loan out in 2009, rolled over for 6 months paid off and took out a loan the same day for a higher amount. This happened in the 4 loans, the only difference between the four loans is that my last loan was taken out in March 2011 and I didn't pay it back until May 2012, as I defaulted and it went to a debt collector.

So the way I see it and haven't got the foggiest what QQ were looking at when they made the above statements that Having 4 loans, each being rolled over for 6 months without a gap . refinancing the same day and taking over a year to pay the final loan off - doesn't show problems with dependency and affordability
That's pretty much what happened with me. Sent it to the FOS and adjudicator upheld 4 out of 5 loans. QQ unsurprisingly rejected this too so it's waiting for a final decision from an ombudsman.

Stick at it, I'm sure you'll get a good result!

  • Cheers Woody!

I think I stumbled on this thread by mistake and it has turned out to be a huge help for me so kudos to you for getting the ball rolling. I think I joined when it was on around page 70 and still can't believe how strong it is going.

    Long may it continue:beer:
  • Very nice to hear from you Woody53:cool: , Patience is the Key to claiming back from the PDL predators.
  • Just wanted to share a very quick success story:

Stuck in the PDL spiral for many years, finally sorted my self out in early 2014 after doing an obscene amount of overtime at work and clearing the lot.

I'm a completely different person now with a wife and 2 kids. I have done nothing but save and be sensible with my money since I cleared all my debt, so we will be looking for a mortgage towards the end of next year.

Decided it was finally time to look at the credit files and tackle the problems, I knew it wouldn't be pretty but apart form the constant cycle of PDL's the biggest problems were 2 defaults from Mr Lender and QQ. Long stories on both but I had agreed payment pans with both prior to agreed repayment dates, both dragged them out for as long as possible then defaulted me. QQ even failed to take any money after finally agreeing everything and giving them permission to take a DD every month and then they passed it on to a DCA.

Anyway, fired an email off to both this week. Expecting a long drawn out process with QQ but Mr Lender have been ace. Original email sent on Tuesday regarding affordability of loans and the fact that my credit record at the time would have been awful. Initial email back on Thursday night offering £90 (the interest on my loan) replied to them this morning saying that's great but i would also like the default removed as I feel the loan should never have been issued and they delayed the whole process unnecessarily. Expected a straight no in response but had an email back with in 30 mins agreeing to wipe the whole thing off my credit report

Absolutely over the moon with an extra £90 in the bank and 1 of 2 defaults gone. Not expecting QQ to be as easy but this has given me the desire to keep at them and start with the long list of others for refunds.

I'd made the mistake of burying my head in the sand after clearing all the debts and expecting things to be fine but these defaults will cause problems going forward and any extra money in refunds will go towards the deposit.

  • Payday uk are asking me to supply documentation of my financial situation at the time of taking out loan. They are asking this in response to me requesting they write the loan off.

What would be the best documentation to send them ?

    Thanks.

It really has given me a boost, was thinking to myself last night that there was no way I'd get the defaults taken off but just proves if you don't ask, you don't get. I just wanted to share in case anyone else wasn't sure about giving it a try.

QQ were pretty quick with sending the statement of account back. Over £1500 in interest and fees with them alone, I'd happily swap it all for the default off my record but I'll be chasing them for both.

Interestingly, the Mr Lender default only showed up on Noddle, QQ is on Noddle and Equifax and Experian shows neither.

Well what a suprise...had a call today from adjudicator regards the 79 Wonga loans.
Bottom line after a 20 min chat was,as i paid them all back on time or before they were due he doesnt see why they were unaffordable.

Well i wouldnt have taken 3 loans in 2 weeks if i wasnt relying on them...relying on them isnt an issue so im told.

Oh well so the FOS says that the 91 ish loans i had which averaged 1 a week isnt evidence that Wonga or Myjar loans were unaffordable.

Well my advice is next time you need a laon simply dont pay it back...let the debt build to a massive amount whilst borrowing still and then you will get your money back.

I did state that if my income whilst on ESA was stable and money wasnt an issue then id hardly have been caught trying to cut my throat with a bread knife by the wife as wasnt coping with the spiralling debt and the fact they tried to repossess the house...??

Hardly suprised by the outcome...make a complaint about FOS and lets face it they aint gonna agree with your next complaint...lol.
