How long where you waiting on the refund from PDE Mrs Ryan? I've £700 on my way from them - albeit a very slow way..........
  • Hi all.

Quick update from me regarding some companies that are no longer trading. Adjudicator for my Toothfairy complaint ruled that all loans were unaffordable but as they are in administration they have not responded and it has gone into the ombudsman queue. I have an adjudicator looking at a complaint with Speedy Dosh. Only a couple of loans with this one but I paid back more than twice what I borrowed so it could be lucrative if anything comes from it.

QQ, PDUK and Payday Express in the ombudsman queue too. May well be in the new year before these are settled but that means more 8% interest!

They received the forms on 28 October, so just over 2 weeks. They did tell me it could take up to 4 weeks though.

  • Yet to hear when Wonga will pay out, tried ringing but they said they have a lot of backlog to clear.

What's the best way going about contacting Cash Genie.

Email just came through to say 7-10 days. Quick enough to take the funds. Hey Ho!

Now to chase the others, QQ seem to be the hardest to deal with.

Also as I previously asked, anyone with information on how to get in touch with Cash Genie, it would be greatly appreciated.
  • Sent qq to fos this morning got acknowledged and said they will be in contact within 2 weeks. Just received another email from somebody else at fos now asking for my credit file and bank statement. Is this normal and what happens next. Thank you

  • Think QQ are having a laugh. Just received my statement of accounts from them as they have rejected my claim saying I didn't show dependency and that I was earing 1400 (don't remember putting that but must have put my gross pay and not my net as I am only just earning that now - lol). My statements show
That from 24.11.09 to 24.05.12 I had a constant loan out with them, over 18 months, I extended the loans over several months then when the principal needed paying back I did so then refinance the same day. So no I didn't need them. Also the amounts I borrowed went up from 400.00, 600.00 then 750.00 which even if I was earning 1400 per month, they were lending me over 50% of my salary.

So just sending these to the FOS
  • Looks like the FOS are now considering loans from over 6 years ago folks!!!!

That's what I was earning and a similar story to yourself, but all mine were rejected by the FOS as apparently due to the fact that when they applied the affordability calculations they still would have been affordable no matter how many other loans I had.
  • A quick update,

My adjudicator has informed me that my complaint has now been assigned to an ombudsman -hopefully this is nearing a conclusion!

Although she did say this could still take months to complete, I just pray that the ombudsman agrees with my adjudicator. I have looked at the FOS decisions on their website and my ombudsman has ordered refunds to people with much smaller and fewer loans than myself, so fingers crossed!!!
