    Nice post, adamsssss
  • Nice one adam! As a matter if interest, when did you bring up how much you would like returning to you? The second email after receiving your statement?
  • Well the first thing I did was download all my bank statements as an excel file so I could easily itemise everything from each lender. Then I put in my initial complaint stating the amounts borrowed and repaid and requested the difference back.

I have found that when you get a final response they list what loans you have had anyway so it can be a good way to fast track the process.

I put as much info as possible then if and when you need to escalate to the FOS it is all there ready.
  • Hi Folks,

Is there a template email when first contacting the payday loan companies? Myself and my husband took out multiple consecutive loans with Wonga years ago and I wonder if we have a case?

Yes flowerpotter, you can find some great info on DebtCamel as well as MSE.
  • I have just recieved this using the email ginger ice provided

I can confirm that the refund has now been processed, please allow for 48 hours for the money to be in your account. The loans have also been removed from your credit file. Please allow 30-45 days for this change to show on your credit report

Nice one! I emailed yesterday but received nothing back. I received an email this morning from them advising that my bank account details has been updated. I sent the ombudsman a different bank account that I wanted it refunding to (different to the one they hold on the system).

My Wonga refund has also just hit my bank account!!!! WOOHOOOOOO!! £2422 received!!! Made up! Just waiting on Slow Quid and Payday UK
