Hi DanDaniel, look on debtcamel website, Sarah has answered this question and explained what to say and do. Also on here I think GingerIce gave a good response to this.:cool:0

Hmmm, just read the debt camel link and it says not to bother claiming if a DRO was taken out......does that mean I'm on a hiding to nothing? It was because of the PDL's that I ended up with a DRO
:(:(
ETA: I was discharged 2 and a half (ish) years ago if that makes any difference?0 -
sacha28, go for it, different PDL have different attitudes, some actually seem to have a conscience and want to help put things right.:cool:0

Hi sacha28, Wonga have seemed to be one of the good PDL wanting to put things right. They are snowed under but it is worth putting your case to them, just tell them what happened and how it affected your life and how you are to this day. Be open and frank and appeal to their conscience.:cool:0

My final payment from QQ was due today, they have never even sent me a failed payment email, they maybe have sold my debt onto a DCA as I had asked them to. I had offered them £30 a month for the remaining £300 left on my account.
I have a complaint in against them too, the ombudsman said they should get back to me in a few days telling me their decision but there is no word from them.
They will say it was fraud because I didn't tell them about my other loans but how is it fraud if I am offering to pay them back?0 -

Mon it is not fraud, it is up to to them to check your credit worthiness that's why we have a credit reference agencies, having other loans proves that you were struggling to repay them their money back and was in a cycle borrowing from others. as far as I am aware no PDL asked for other loan information - would of been able to see this anyway
do not discuss this by phone they can misconstrue your words and try to dissuade you.
do not be intimidated by low paid customer service, most do not know the law or legal requirements they have to perform when dealing with your complaint.
go back to them and state if they had done an adequate review of your financial situation then they would not of offered you the loans.
As such you this is irresponsible lending and in breach of FCA guidelines.
as soon as you mention words like irresponsible and FCA guidelines. these companies will pr!ck their ears up.
people like jackster and delete33 and my self have been logging complaints with the FCA about the way these companies are handling historic customer complaints.
The FCA are obliged to review and should take action against them.
PDL'S can have their licence to trade revoked if they do not follow the relevant guidelines.
Once it gets to the FOS stage they will also be charged £550 quid for each case lost.
There are thousands of complaints coming in daily due to the continued efforts of this board and http://debtcamel.co.uk
these companies deserve to have some of the suffering placed on that they placed on people they knew were trapped.
There is a space for PDL'S but it has to be done with due care towards the people they are lending too.
The old stuff like wonga making up their own pretend solicitor letters to scare people into paying screams loan shark to me & there are plenty of sharks out there!0 -
Had a refund of just over £1400 from quickquid yesterday..
Not as much as I had thought I would get but it went quickly to pay off the remaining balance of my credit card.
A long journey claiming it back, think I started just after Xmas...
More or less debt free now

Brilliant Dazza, How much were you expecting???
Well I had a total of 44 loans ( inc rollovers ) from 2008 until 2014...I calculated that total interest was just under 4K.
But, is there a 6 year time limit? Anyway QQ would not/ could not consider loans before 2010.
So got a offer of 1400 pounds, suppose I could have pushed for more, but that amount now clears my credit card.
So now happy ( almost )0
