sounds fair to me. i work for a peugeot main agent. we are currently £150.00inc rtl per hour!
    rofl surely?
£150 inc VAT, retail, per hour.
    Whoosh....
main dealer service and parts depts are there for a reason. we have so many instances where customer has taken there car to halfords, quick fit, abc motors or watever, and they done the job but they couldnt put the service light out, or theres a noise that wasn't there before. so we explain we can fix it but it will cost. if they come to us in the 1st place it would all of been done properly and sorted. you get what you pay for in life.
It depends on what main dealer you go too, with a car that i wanted to get some tow bar electrics fitted i asked the main dealer if they would fit the official plug in loom and activate the dashboard light. But they said they don't use the light anymore and just install a beeper like all the other places that fit tow bars. So a main dealer doesn't mean they do it properly.

What's the point you are trying to make?  Garages, much like any other business are operating to make a profit.

A senior Solicitor can be charged out at an hourly rate of £409 an hour in London. Do you really think the solicitor gets the whole amount?
