Sure, I could add. But the thread has past that now and is off topic due to the initial reposnses. But the title of the thread is crystal clear and there are several examples that can be gleamed from reading this forum that could have been posted just for information such and terms including:no return, and parking prohibited being a breach of contract. They are just a couple of examples that come to my mind with little forethought. But I'm not in a position to lead the discussion.

Why? - This Board does has no truck with “fines” no matter if they are legal/legit or implied by the most fevered impersonation of authority.

You would need to take this somewhere like Pepipoo, who do deal with legit enforcement but I fear a thread like this would last about as long as an ice cream in a blast furnace!

I’m so sorry about the fine thing, I do understand they are not fines and are invoices which have little legal weight but I just used the term fines generically, if anyone can suggest a more appropriate title I will be more than happy to correct it.

We usually call then "speculative invoices" or "scamvoices" or "shamvoices"

I’ll help out as much as I can (obviously when I learn more), I just googled ludicrous parking fines (I know fines isn’t the correct term but no headline says invoices) and found scores of stories, I thought someone may want to discuss stories.
