£100 court fee if ParkingEye agree to consent, plus whatever their terms are.   We don't know what they will want - sometimes it's less.

That's why you email and ask.    It is NOT a fine. Don't call it a fine.

The only other thing that might help is to contact the retailer first, this week, to get them on your side if you were a genuine customer on the day, and ask them to confirm that they want the CCJ removed for their customer and can the costs be minimised as there was no intention to penalise customers (or staff/patients if it was a hospital, etc).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    From BPA CoP:-

"14.2 You must not use terms which imply that parking is being managed, controlled and enforced under statutory authority. This includes using terms such as ‘fine’, ‘penalty’ or ‘penalty charge notice’."

PCN paid. I will now see if they will do a set aside. Can’t see this being a problem since they have the money

They have no reason now to agree toa  set aside!
Do you understand how bargaining works? Your leverage was - i'll pay up in full with no delay if you agree to a set aside.
