  • So we submitted App and DIP accepted 13/7 - 16/7.
Since then had valuation scheduled for 18th August and now had another update saying valuation booked for 7th September which is just ridiculous. Losing the will to live on these timescales.
    NW timescales:
    DIP: 13/7
    App: 16/7
    Valuation: 6/8
    NW offer: 20/8

Oh no that's so far away. Were you contacted by the valuation company directly? If so, I would keep calling to check for cancellations so that they can bring it forward.
  • I contacted MB last week about the August date and she said she'd chase but heard nothing. Spoke with EA who contacted the valuer directly and had agreed for him to do it this week whilst he was in the area doing another valuation for her, as it's fairly rural area. So as far as I was aware, it was being done this week but now they're saying September. Just hoping it's not accurate.

The 7th sept is ridiculous! I'd be checking every couple of days for cancellations.
I'm in scotland and they just use the home report, so don't think I need to worry about that

I just can't understand it, those timescales would mean nearly a 2 month wait for valuation. I've said to MB that if this is the case then we need to apply elsewhere as we'd be certain to lose the house. As it stands, we should have been exchanging tomorrow. Not even had hard searches done yet although 3 soft searches done, inc Credit Search so not sure if this is all that's needed.

I rang today and queried the credit searches and they said they are done right at the start.
The soft check was done on Experian for me but the hard on Transunion.

That's interesting - thanks for the info. Ours aren't showing on Experian at all but showing as 3 soft searches on Equifax and Financial associations created on Equifax and Clearscore. TransUnion (Credit Karma) aren't showing anything. Our scores and reports are both excellent so not too concerned about this area (touch wood!!!) but it was more to gauge where they are at in the application process.

Where we are at with ours (Nationwide)
    Dip - 2nd July - accept
    Full application- 8th July
Requested payslips and ID - 9th July
Valuation booked on 13th July for the 20th
Hard credit check - 19th July
    Valuation-  20th July
Requested further documents (letter confirming I am back from furlough leave) 22nd July .

Been told it will be end of next week  before I hear anything as they are running behind with everything. The waiting is stressful isn't it haha x
Was the letter from your employer (re Furlough) because you hadn't yet completed a month back and therefore didn't have a normal payslip, just furlough payslips?

I got a hard search (listed on Table 1 on Equafix where it says Table 1 refers to all the hard searches done) over the weekend by NW that was showed as "Opt in" but still no update whatsoever since then...
