It must be nice up there in your perfect wealthy world of homes owned outright and nothing borrowed?
Who said anything about homes being owned outright or nothing borrowed?
The original point I was trying to make is that I don't think there is a huge number of people who are in crippling debt who then put an expensive holiday for them and their family on their credit card & don't have any way to repay the family members because the refund will leave their credit card in a negative balance.
Somehow it's turned into people being vilified for working hard to clear their debts.
Transferring the balance to another credit card or asking the family members to wait is about the only option for the OP. Although whether there are any implications for a subsequent IVA/bankruptcy by repaying family members first is another matter.

I think they should teach "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" in schools. I really do. Then the public wouldn't be in a constant finnancial mess.

I'd never heard of it, but other than making the author a load of money off people who want to stop being poor, it doesn't seem to be of much use https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rich_Dad_Poor_Dad
His follow up book with Donald Trump https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Why_We_Want_You_to_Be_Rich kinda puts me off him.
    This is probably more suitable.

    "I've never heard of it"
"Doesn't seem to be much use"

..... I like that you can judge a book by a 20 second scan of wikipedia.... Ridiculous.

I think it's one of the most important personal finnance books in the world. And plenty of people agree with me.

You want me to judge a book on even shorter post of yours. Positive feedback could be due to cognitive bias. He appears to have made his money from writing the book, not by following advice in the book. But not everyone can do that.
I fail to see how teaching everyone in school that you have to become the boss to earn money will actually change anything. It's more likely to collapse society as everyone will refuse to work for anyone else.

Thats not what it teaches at all!
And I don't give two hoots about that author. How they made money, where, when, how much. It means nothing.

I care about the content of the book.

And no, I don't want you to judge the book at all. I simply said "I think they should teach "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" in schools." That is all.

And when I disagreed, you told me that I'd judged the book wrong. If you didn't care what I thought about the book then why would you reply?
If it's not what it teaches at all, then I guess Jeff Rose read it wrong too.

Because you bounced in with a conclusive opinion of a book you haven't ever heard of let alone read!  :s
